Arsenal winger Gervinho is a definite out for at least three weeks due to his ankle injury. The report is confirmed by Gunner’s boss Arsene Wenger on Thursday morning. Gervinho got his ankle injured in last week’s premier league clash between QPR and Arsenal that was eventually won by Gunners by 1-0 margin. Wenger has had a press conference ahead of Arsenal trip to Manchester United when he told about non availability of his winger for most of the November month. The scheduled matches for Arsenal are UEFA Champions League where it has to face Schalke, Fulham, and Tottenham. Moreover, there are Premier league matches against Manchester United and Tottenham along with Tuesday's Champions League match. Two English Players among 12 charged in Serbia
During 2013 European Championship qualifier between England and Siberia on October 16, there happened to be a clash between players, and it was said that there were some racial comments also passed by players of both sides. Since that matter was being investigated by the police, no accused was initially made. But now, after around 15 day’s investigations, police has charged 12 peoples included players of both sides for that mishap on the field. Two English Under-21 players are yet unknown, but Siberian police has already informed British police about such indictment. It started by throwing some missiles on the pitch by some host fans after English Connor Wickham scored the winning goal that made England beat Siberia by score 2-0. Host crowd could not accept their defeat; hence turned violent which later became a public clash between both the teams including their coaches. English Football Runs by idiots?
In a strange quote referring FIFA President Sepp Blatter has said England football is being run by idiots has spread havoc in soccer community. The quote is written in an autobiography by Sebastian Coe who is a well-known personality in soccer, perhaps he is one who ran London Olympics and was the chairman of FIFA’s ethics committee. His latest job was a part of English think tank for its failed bid to host 2018 FIFA world cup. According to him, Blatter has always been a problem in dealing with English officials, perhaps, he once said that English soccer is not being run by bright peoples; peoples who run it are idiots. Now Mark Clattenburg is Accused of Racial Comments to Chelsea’s Players
It’s not far behind when Terry’s case was disposed off by FA with hefty fine and suspension, and now, there another case has opened; this time against referee Mark Clattenburg who reportedly used some abusive racial words against two Chelsea’s players. The incident took place in the last match between Chelsea and Manchester United on Sunday which was won by Man United by 3-2. Chelsea’s teammates also said to have listened Clattenburg calling John Obi Mikel a 'monkey' and another player Juan Mata a ‘Spanish twat.’ The matter heats up immediate as the racial comments have become intolerable after some big abuse cases recently. Txiki Begiristain is the New Sporting Director for Man City
Former Spanish footballer Txiki Begiristain is all set to replace Manchester City’s sporting director Brian Marwood. The high profile appointment was long in waiting, and now it’s clear in public domain that Begiristain will begin his new job at Man City. Brian Marwood will now take over soccer academic and serve his service to train new soccer talent for Man City. Begiristain has played for many clubs in his career including Spain; perhaps he holds as many as 22 caps for Spain along with Deportivo, Barcelona, and Real Sociedad. In his current job too he will report to his old time associate Ferran Soriano, who is City’s current chief and parted with Begiristain for Barcelona.
