Cahill is upset with Roberto Di Matteo’s Rotational Policy

Chelsea and England’s central defender Gary Cahill has now said in the public about his dissatisfaction about Chelsea’s manager Di Matteo’s rotational policy to rest some of the top players and rotate other players in place of resting players. However, his biggest concern is about his minimal time spent on the field coz of this rotational policy. Notably, Matteo has recently been rotating three players to make a change in starting lineup, though two of those three players were always in the starting squad. Accordingly, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, and John Terry were rotating one by one, but after Terry’s four matches’ suspension, Luiz and Cahill were supposed to get more exposer this season. But on the contrary, Cahill could only participate in few matches in current premium league. On the whole, Cahill played only ten matches in last premier league despite his €8.4 million price tag that Chelsea paid to Bolton Wanderers in January for his transfer. October 29, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Reading’s midfielder Jem Karacan sustained a knee injury during a match against Liverpool on 20th this month when he collided with Steven Gerrard. Initially, that injury was not expected to be a harsh one; perhaps everyone was hoping his comeback in less than a week. But Reading luck with injuries is not that bright, coz after Jem Karacan; who is also out for several weeks coz of his injury, Karacan’s injury is also found to be serious in nature that made him unavailable for at least six weeks. With this, Reading’s back luck continues this season coz it is yet to win a match despite its seven played matches till date. Injury’s status comes to know after Karacan went for a scan that showed how badly he got his knee injured. Reading’s next match was with Fulham on Saturday which ended in a score 3-3 draw, and as expected, Karacan was not the part of Saturday’s squad as well. NBC is expected to get EPL’s broadcasting rights in US

EPL is surely the world’s most popular soccer league, and that’s why there are many front runners for its television broadcasting rights too. In US, EPL has been broadcasted by Fox and ESPN for almost two decades, but this year their combined bid has been rejected by EPL, so US viewers are all set to watch their favorite teams fighting on a new channel – probably NBC. The current broadcasting deal is to be expired this season, and for next season, EPL is inviting offers from various contenders for a new deal that would be for three years. EPL telecast was widely watched by US viewers on Fox; hence it is said to be a major loss for both ESPN and Fox sports to miss an extremely lucrative broadcasting deal. Expressing its disappointment, Fox said via a statement that “We were disappointed to learn today that English Premier League has elected to move forward with a different media partner despite FOX Sports Media Group's aggressive bid, FOX Soccer has been the primary US voice of EPL … [Read more...]

Friedel is thinking of his retirement

Since American soccer player and Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeper: Brad Friedel has crossed his 41 years of age; he is apparently thinking of his retirement. If rumors are to be believed, this premier league session will be the last for him. Notably, the star goalkeeper has played record 310 league matches consecutively without any break in his eight years career for the club. His first match for Tottenham was played on August 14, 2004, and during his long spell, there was only one halt when Hugo Lloris was chosen as his replacement in a Spurs fixture match against Aston Villa, and this halt disappointed him deeply especially by Hugo Lloris, who is considered to be his rival. Though, neither he nor Hugo Lloris has ever accepted anything about their rivalry, perhaps in public, they both take it as a healthy competition among them. Friedel has had a record consistence spell in Premium league; possibly, he is among few who have played so many matches without a break. Before joining … [Read more...]
