Hitzlsperger is Eyeing a Long Term Everton Deal

Thomas Hitzlsperger, a 30 years old German midfielder, has confirmed and emphasized on his desire to play for Everton for a long term. Perhaps, he is trying hard to convince both: David Moyes and Everton fans that he can serve the club for a long term. For the time being, he has signed a short term deal with Everton that will ensure his stay at Goodison Park until January 2013. Notably, he has been associated with Bundesliga in the past and just released by them in last summer when he signed a new short term deal with Everton. He made few statements that hint about his future plans where he primarily targeted a short term deal at the moment, and then he would probably run after a long term deal - with Everton for sure. Perhaps, he is quite happy to return to a premier league side after being downgraded by West Ham United Football Club in 2010-11. He stated on Club’s website as, “I think I am suited to the Premier League. It was my decision to come back after the previous season in … [Read more...]

Fan Jailed for four months after attacking Kirkland

Sheffield Wednesday’s goalkeeper Chris Kirkland, who was assaulted by a fan during Sheffield Wednesday’s match against Leeds on Friday at Hillsborough, has now gotten justice when a city court has sentenced that fan a four months jail term for said charges. Reportedly, the fan is named Aaron Cawley and he is from Cheltenham; he himself admitted and accepted all the charges against him including pitch invasion and assaulting goalkeeper. The match was score ended in a 1-1 draw, but it showed one of the ugliest scenes in soccer history when a fan was seen pushing goalkeeper on his face in a live televised match. Sheffield Magistrates' Court found him guilty and passed its judgment sending him behind the bars for 16 weeks term. Sky Sports, that captured the incident, telecasted it lively that causes this case to take on priority basis by the police. John Terry is still Chelsea’s captain, but after a huge fine

Roberto Di Matteo has taken another brave move by retaining John Terry as captain of Chelsea though after a hefty fine. The man in blue will again wear captain’s armband and enter in the field with full confidence as he had always been doing. There is no need to discuss again as to why he had become an untouchable in last few weeks for everybody, but Chelsea helped him in moving further in his life forgiving what happened in last few months to him. Notably, Terry has been found guilty of passing racial comments to Anton Ferdinand last year. That case has been concluded from FA’s end after imposing a mammoth 220,000 pounds as fine on him. Many consider Chelsea’s decision as full of error this time, but on the other side, Chelsea has issued a statement and clarified how it takes on FA decision, racial abuses, and the whole turnaround happened to him. Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea, discussed Terry’s status via statement given to Associated Press that reads as, “John will continue to … [Read more...]

October 20, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

How far some desperate soccer fans can go is showcased by Dynamo Moscow’s fans when they fired their own club players during a training session outside Moscow. The event took place on Friday when a group of peoples started firing barrage of paintballs on players and staff. The instance took everyone in a shock coz of a sudden and risky behavior of its own fans. Notably, the fans targeted their own team coz of its poor performance this session. Perhaps, Dynamo could only place itself on 13th place out of 16 teams in total by losing eight matches out of elven played till date. Alan Gatragov, Dynamo midfielder, told a new agency here in Moscow about the whole incident and how it has affected them. Moreover, club is seeking every sort of legal help to find out the final culprits and force them to undergo a fair trial and probably punish them for their wrong doings. Ashley Cole is fined heavily by FA over his Rebellious Tweets

Ashley Cole could be the best defender for England and Chelsea, but he could not defend what he tweeted few days back about FA disciplinary penal investing a racial case against John Terry. Though, he apologized immediately but FA was in no mood to spare his brave effort to criticize soccer’s biggest governing body. Besides, FA has also defined a set of guidelines to be used by every footballer, official, club, or nation using a social media to express its views. In the latest case, Ashley Cole has been fined with €110,000 (£90,000 or $145,000) for his abusive tweets. Obviously, Cole is not happy with the way FA has handled this case, perhaps, he has a strong reason to believe that whatever he said in his defense is not taken care of by FA’s disciplinary penal. FA issued a statement for its decision and said, “Chelsea's Ashley Cole has been fined £90,000 after he admitted an FA charge in relation to a Twitter comment which was improper and/or brought the game into disrepute. Cole, who … [Read more...]
