League clubs spent 950 million in January transfer window
The money raining English premier league again proved why this is the fastest money rolling soccer tourney is the world. The English research and business advisory firm Deloitte issued the details of money every league side spent in just concluded winter transfer window. According to their findings, league sides collectively spent 950 million pounds making them one of the fastest growing group of clubs. February 2 was the busiest day for sides willing to hire or fire players and it witnessed some 80 million pounds changing hands in last twenty hours of the transfer deadline. The top four sides, like always, spent more than other sides; however, Manchester United is an exception as they did not copy their summer run when they were the highest spending English side.
