Drogba looks for FIFA permission for his loan move to Chelsea

November 22, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Drogba

Chelsea’s ex player, who is Shanghai Shenhua’s current forward, is looking for FIFA’s approval for a move to his ex-club. Since, he is in contract with a Chinese professional football club, his transfer will be on loan, moreover; coz it is being happened outside official transfer window, he needs FIFA’s sanction. Historically, FIFA do not allow players to move in-between official transfer windows, but since he has good reasons to support his request; it is very much likely that he will get governing body’s approval. He cited his fitness as a major cause of his transfer, coz Chinese league season has already completed this month, so he can only maintain his fitness if he continues playing matches for another club, like Chelsea. On the other side, Chelsea is not doing well in Champions league; perhaps it is virtually out of the league if it losses another match, so it also needs a striker like Drogba to improve its chance to survive in the league. Drogba told to Sport-Ivoire about all the rumors about his future plans. He said, “I am aware that I must play regularly to stay fit. I want to play with another club hoping to stay in great shape. It’s a hypothesis. It is possible to return to get back in. If I have to, it is obvious that it will be after an agreement with my bosses.”

Over his application to allow him said loan transfer, FIFA said, “its administration services are into it.” Previously, Drogba has been a part of Chelsea for eight successful years; in addition, he was the one who fired the crucial penalty goal in the final of champion league against Bayern Munich last season. It was his successful run at Stamford Bridge that got him another lucrative contract deal with Shanghai Shenhua at £200,000 a week until 2014. Besides Chelsea, Liverpool is another club Drogba could be interested in, coz Liverpool is also running short of a striker. Rules wise, even if he gets FIFA’s approval; he will not be able to play for Chelsea before January 1, coz of FIFA’s rules enacted by it when players like David Beckham, Thierry Henry and Landon Donovan were asked to wait until January for their requests to move to Europe after major English leagues had ended.

Nonetheless, if he gets a chance to move even in January; he can participate in African Cup of Nations that begins on January 19th in South Africa.
