Barcelona FC has ever been one of the most reputed soccer clubs in the world, and each of its key officials is also on the radar of every soccer club who can afford them. This time; it happens to Barca’s ex-coach Pep Guardiola who is due to discharge from his coach duties from Barcelona; hence there were many rumors in the media about where he would land, but now, things have become clearer to see him going to German. German’s powerhouse Bayern Munich has hired him for a three year term starting summer 2013 and ending summer 2016. However, his new role will also be of a coach; perhaps he would serve German club as head coach of its Team A and everyone is predicting him to make a decisive change in their strength as he did with Barcelona. His new role starts from July 2013, and then everything about his singing amount and other terms will be clear.
Guardiola is to be fitted into Jupp Heynckes’ shoes after latter hinted about his retirement this summer. Bayern Munich issued a statement on their website mentioning this high profile transfer, it reads as, “We are extremely grateful to Jupp Heynckes for all his work, Following his decision, we would be delighted if the team was to give this coaching great the glorious farewell he deserves. As a worthy successor to Jupp Heynckes, only a coach of Pep Guardiola’s calibre comes into question.”
Though the ground reality is Bayern Munich is not as big club as many others are who regularly play in England or even in German, but they have been on the top of Bundesliga standings recently along with reaching upto the finals of Champions League both in 2010 and 2012. Actually, Guardiola was linked up with many top clubs of late, but Munich could manage to win arguably the best coach in the world to lead its team.
Guardiola, who has made Barcelona win 14 titles including Champions League two times, La Liga three times, one Copa del Rey, three Supercopas, UEFA Super Cups two times, and two FIFA Club World Cups in his four year spell with them, was the obvious choice for German club ever since he announced his contract end with Barca. Out of his many distinct soccer skills, he is best known to motivate players to perform better than what they can, and probably this is the reason why Barcelona has produced players like Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta under his mentorship.
