Gaal confident for FA cup

February 5, 2015 by 888Scoreonline

The career of Louis van Gaal has taken a whole new shape after his successful in English premier league and fans don’t even want to remember the days when Red Devils was facing tough resistance from every team in the English top flight. This is the same Old Trafford side that got a new life under the guidance of Dutch mentor who is famous for his unorthodox but effective policies while leading any side and here in England too he applied many out of the box changes that initially looked strange but when they start yielding results, no one argued their worth. While ManU is on third place in the English premier league, they are equally likely to win the FA Cup as well; in fact, Gaal went one step ahead and asked United fans to bet over their team for this FA title. He said this after an impressive 3-0 win over Cambridge United today. With the latest triumph they are in the fifth round of the league and according to many critics they are surely one of the likely contenders for the title.

Gaal compared their position to that of league side and said since both Manchester City and Chelsea, who are ahead of them in the EPL, are out; they are the most visible winner of the FA cup. He, however, did not deny of having loads of pressure of keeping a balance between both the top English titles and claims they are the only one going to hold the FA cup in at Wembley in May. He said in a press conference, “We have a real chance now. Why? We are the highest qualified team in the FA Cup so our status is the highest. People are maybe betting on us. I am not allowed to and I am not a casino man but I give you a tip. Of course I think the highest qualified teams have more possibilities to win than lower qualified teams.”

Talking about his feelings over winning a title in first season itself leading the most pressing English side and if he is used to it, former Barcelona manager added, “For me, personally, I won always a title in my first year everywhere where I worked so the chance I win a title is bigger in FA Cup than the Premier League. I have won already a title in the USA, you know that.”

“I am very pleased because 3-0 and clean sheet and next round. Of course we could have played better,” he said.
