Hitzlsperger is Eyeing a Long Term Everton Deal

October 22, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Thomas Hitzlsperger

Thomas Hitzlsperger, a 30 years old German midfielder, has confirmed and emphasized on his desire to play for Everton for a long term. Perhaps, he is trying hard to convince both: David Moyes and Everton fans that he can serve the club for a long term. For the time being, he has signed a short term deal with Everton that will ensure his stay at Goodison Park until January 2013. Notably, he has been associated with Bundesliga in the past and just released by them in last summer when he signed a new short term deal with Everton. He made few statements that hint about his future plans where he primarily targeted a short term deal at the moment, and then he would probably run after a long term deal – with Everton for sure. Perhaps, he is quite happy to return to a premier league side after being downgraded by West Ham United Football Club in 2010-11.

He stated on Club’s website as, “I think I am suited to the Premier League. It was my decision to come back after the previous season in Germany. I just wanted to be back here in England – I have had five years in Germany and five years in England but I have always said that England is where I want to be playing. The atmosphere, the people, the mentality – that is what I like and that is why I am so happy to be here.”

The said short term deal was signed by him on Friday though he was training with Everton since last few weeks. Anyways, the former Aston Villa and West Ham United player has already played a match this season as unused substitute, but now; he can expect his entry to primary squad for at least next two to three months. Despite his status as a free agent for quite some time now, he has as many as 52 international caps for Germany; moreover, he missed the field for some time in the past coz of his injury, and after recovery, he got his first assignment. This would be his third spell at the premier league; earlier, he has played for two English clubs: Aston Villa and West Ham United. If everything goes well and he gets his international clearance, he would a part of Everton squad for their next match against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

Hope to see best of Hitzlsperger again for the sake of a long term club assignment at least!
