Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka is set to have his comeback for Brazil after a gap of two long years. His name is included in the squad by Brazilian Coach Mano Menezes, who has just announced Brazilian team for some friendly matches against Iraq, Sweden, Japan, and Poland in next month. Last match that was played by kaka for Brazil was the quarterfinal of FIFA world cup held in South Africa wherein Brazil lost to Netherland by 2-1. Kaka was also called into the squad last year by the same coach for some friendly matches against Gabon and Egypt, but due to his persisting injuries, he could not play any international match for Brazil. But now, this 30 years old star midfielder is ready for his next inning for the Brazilian national football team. He has 82 caps to his name for Brazil ever since he started his career in 2002. For now, Kaka is in great form and showing his best of soccer skills in La Liga series where he plays for Real Madrid. Last Wednesday; he scored three goals for Madrid against Millionarios.
Coach Mano Menezes said that he had already chosen Kaka for the squad even before his Wednesday’s performance coz the player was consistently trying to regain his best form to reclaim his star Madrid player’s status. Basically, Menezes decision to include a 30 years old player in a squad, which has only 23 years as an average age, is not being appreciated from every corner of the world, but coach is confident enough that Kaka will prove himself again and up himself for the national squad. Since Menezes himself has always been on the gunpoint by the fans, and after his failure to secure gold medal in London Olympics, his chances to remain as the coach had immediately been shattered. But Brazilian football federation’s president: Jose Maria cleared all the doubts and guaranteed that Menezes will stay on the job till next year’s Confederations Cup – at least.
