The star Argentinian forward player and captain of Argentinian national football team, Lionel Messi, who is under contract with Barcelona for next 4 more years, is going to have his existing contract revised to have more bounties for him. Sandro Rosell, the president of Barcelona club has recently confirmed that they are thinking of revising said contract even though there are more than four years left for existing contract. Lionel Messi, the star player for Barcelona is responsible for as much as 73 goals and assisted another 29 goals in his last sixty games for the club has no intentions to leave the club. Moreover, since his new contract is supposed to have more lucrative terms for the player, another legendry player Ronaldo is also eyeing on a similar kind of revision to his contract with Real Madrid. Though, till now, Real Madrid has not confirmed any such increment or a revised contract for Ronaldo. Even yet, everybody expects that Ronaldo would also ask or perhaps compel his club to have additional added terms on his contract.
For now, Lionel Messi is enjoying his great form in current Champions League where he is proving his skills. Yesterday, Lionel Messi made his important contribution to Barcelona’s win against Russian football club: Spartak Moscow with a 3-2 margin. This victory was classified as an important win for Barcelona by its coach Tito Vilanova. Notably, Messi’s last 20 minutes rescue goal could make this victory happened.
Looking at his recent performances and his contributions throughout his contract period, it is rather irresponsible not to renew the contract at this time, this is what Sandro Rosell thinks at this time, so he is quickly finding the suitable options that suffice player’s expectations from his club. Interestingly, Ronaldo, on other hand, has no such affirmations yet, still his fans expect him to have a rise in both terms: money and tenure. As far Lionel Messi is concerned, Barcelona doesn’t see him go anywhere during his lifetime, so they are taking him as their forever star footballer hence they are ready to offer him another handsome fee hike. Sandro Rosell did not confirm any time frame for the new contract, but he said, “You have to think about such things. Right now there is nothing scheduled, but this is a machine that is constantly in motion and things can change at any moment. The coaching staff thinks about next Sunday, we look further down the line and take the more distant future into consideration. Work has to start now on the contract that will take effect from 2016.”
So, there is something to cheer about for Lionel Messi!
