Manchester City striker Balotelli’s brother arrested over street brawl

Mario Balotelli

When controversies start following you; they chase you till the end, and this is exactly what is happening to Manchester City’s striker Mario Balotelli who is yet again in the news for wrong reasons. Recently, his younger brother Enoch Barwuah made him in the headlines yet again when he was caught in Italy over street brawl along with charges of assault and resisting arrest late Saturday outside a nightclub in Bagnolo Mella. Actually, he had a fight over an issue with someone in the club and when police arrived on the spot, he was shirtless and barefoot and further clashed with the officers seeking his arrest. After his further mishap with the police, he had to spend whole night in a prison cell and later shifted to house arrest. He will soon be presented in the court with aforesaid charges. In another incident, a former girlfriend of Balotelli has accused City star to be the father of her newly born daughter which she is also willing to prove via medical tests.

These stories happened outside of the field, but even inside the field, Balotelli is facing two weeks fine for missing around twelve games for various suspensions last session by his club. However, when Manchester City’s manager Roberto Mancini was asked about if he is willing to give the player another opportunity, he said, “Sure. I am his manager and, like the other players, if he deserves another chance I’ll give him another chance. But Mario now needs to deserve this.” Moreover, the way Balotelli accepted his fine imposed by his club is praised by his manager, and coz of this, he is ready to offer him another chance to prove his decency again. Since, Balotelli has agreed to pay two weeks’ wages as fine and abandoned his pending appeal against the fine, Mancini responded to it as, “This is an old situation and it is normal when someone does a mistake he should take his responsibilities and Mario did this. It’s normal.

“He respect himself, not me, because it’s important for him to respect himself, very important.”

Last few weeks were very suspenseful for Balotelli regarding whether he would continue his stay at Carrington or move to somewhere else in January transfer window. So, as of now, the dispute seems to be resolved, so other clubs, who were reportedly preparing lucrative deals for him, will have to sit and stare him playing under Roberto Mancini’s mentorship.
