Manchester United seems to be determined not to relieve its dissent striker Wayne Rooney coz it has again rejected an improved bid from striker’s charm Chelsea. Reportedly, the current amount being offered by the League club was £25m plus add-ons while they earlier offered around five million less for the 27-year-old forward. Actually, it seems to have become an ego issue now for EPL Champions coz they are trying to maintain their supremacy as far snatching key players from opponents are concerned hence they would not like to see others are doing the same to them. As far Rooney’s state of mind is concerned, he has long been expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford and his probable destinations include Stamford Bridge and an undisclosed Italian club. The rumors of him leaving the club were surfaced the earth back in 2010 when he himself admitted he wants to leave the club but suddenly he was given a five-year contract which is in force until 2015. Moreover, due to his uncertain future, he is also missing the field back since May though the reason told by the club officials for his absenteeism is an injury not a running dispute in their backyard.
The famous starlet made his debut back in 2002 playing for Everton and later he moved to EPL champions where he played as many as 402 matches, and more especially, he also scored 197 goals in them. Apart from that, he also played some 83 matches for England’s national soccer team that made him an all-round performer of the game. But his misunderstandings with club’s top officials made him one of the surplus assets for David Moyes club, but still, manager doesn’t want others to explore striker’s skills against them. Maybe, United let him go to some non-English club but as far EPL is concerned, it seems very much unlikely that United will make its own opponents stronger. At the same time, Chelsea’s former Everton manager, who used to have good relations with Rooney while he was also playing for them, is determined to bring him to the Stamford Bridge.
Last week, Rooney also reportedly handed over his formal transfer request to United bosses, but it seems, his contract clause prevented him from doing so. Anyways, it could be the greatest battle of glory for two biggest clubs of English Premium league where only time will tell if Rooney will be seen wearing a Blue or remain in the stands wearing Reds.
