Life of soccer players is very strange where they fight throughout their career to sustain a respectable position and more importantly to play for a big team. Though, there are many top notch clubs who have always been in the aspiring list of every aspiring player, yet few of them are more charismatic and luring even for players already playing for big clubs. Yes, we are talking about 26-year-old Spanish footballer Cesc Fabregas who plays as midfielder for Barcelona. Despite being associated with one of the leading names in soccer, he still desires for Manchester United and revealed his secrete ambition recently when he said he was almost flattered looking United interest in him. Actually, David Moyes tried to knock him two times in the last summer transfer window, but failed on both occasions. Later, he was criticized for not using his best negotiation skills while many also said that Barca would never relieve their in-form players to anyone even if they are offering a mounting deal. Though, Fabregas is now happy and satisfied playing under Gerardo Martino mentorship; he talked about the situation he passed through last summer.
He said about United offer, “It’s always flattering when a club like Manchester United talks very well about you and you can see they want you. But I’m going through an amazing moment now. I’m playing every week and I feel very important to the team. I’m very happy right now. This season I have felt more like myself, with more freedom and more secure with the way I like to play. It’s not easy when you know you have to convince many fans how good you are and how good you can be for the team. The manager has trusted me and given me what I needed. I’m probably going through my best spell here.”
Actually, Moyes is continuously trying to sign some of the heavyweights in the business since he joined Old Trafford club and when he failed for the second time to bring Fabregas in England, he got some relief in form of Chelsea’s Juan Mata at a record £37.1m figure. Talking about an unexpected deal between two English rivals, Fabregas added, “I was surprised to see Juan move there because I think he has been Chelsea’s best player over the last two years. He’s produced some amazing performances as they won the Champions League, Europa League and FA Cup and he scored in the final of the European Championship with Spain.”
