Mancini assures a title win in next three or four years

Roberto Mancini

Soccer world is badly known as the worst place to survive in if you are not performing well. There have been many cases in the past where many clubs sacked their managers overnight after they did not perform as expected. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini could be one such manager who is facing the heat of being the next on firing line coz of City’s humiliating exist from Champions League. Now, Mancini is advocating the stability within a team and saying City bosses should give him more time to become stable rather sacking, which would a big mistake considering current City lineup. However, he is also assuring for a title win in next couple of years; perhaps he is challenging himself for wining at least one more trophy for his club, and if he could not do so, he is willing to be resigned rather continuing as a non-proving manager. According to Mancini, he is still the best person to lead City, and if he is allowed to, he can ensure winning another Premier League or the Champions League in coming four to five years.

Actually, Mancini is fed up of media questions that continuously asking him his views about reports that Malaga’s Manuel Pellegrini could be the next one to lead City. He ruled out all the allegations that he can ever be sacked for placing City on the second spot in the EPL. However, he accepted that if they could not defeat Chelsea in their coming match; their chances are almost gone. He recently replied to media recurring questions about his stay at Carrington, he said, “I cannot continue to answer about this every week. I don’t understand the reason for this – why would Manchester City change their manager? For which reasons? In the last 18 months after 2011 since Manchester United won the Premier League and we won the FA Cup, there were seven trophies and Manchester City won three of those. I’m not the chairman or CEO, if you want to ask these questions maybe ask them.”

He supposed to have good relations with both City chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak and owner Sheikh Mansour, but things change faster than ever in football, though; he is praising his good relations with them. He said, “I have a good relationship with Khaldoon and I don’t have any problems with him, he’s a really good man. I have never found a man like Khaldoon in football, the same for Sheikh Mansour.”
