The Italian national soccer team’s striker and prominent member of Manchester city club: Mario Balotelli is going to skip Italy’s world cup qualifier, which is to be played against Armenia, coz of his fever. Italian Football Federation informed about his absence from the qualifier match. Cesare Prandelli, the manager of Italian national soccer team, has already included him in his probable list of eleven players, but after his fever’s confirmation; he will be replaced with Sebastian Giovinco, who will be available for Italy by Tuesday when Italy has to face Denmark. Italian soccer team’s website also mentioned team’s doctor Enrico Castellacci’s media statement where he told that Balotelli’s cold has affected him more physically than expected by him earlier. Earlier too, Balotelli had been suffering from conjunctivitis, so he did not play against England citing that he is going for a Laser eye surgery in the last international break, and this time too, he could not make himself available for his nation. But, the good news is that he will surely return to the national squad anytime next week.
On the other side, Cesare Prandelli has suffered a major setback again by not having Balotelli in the national squad, perhaps last time, when Balotelli was out for his laser surgery, Prandelli looked unhappy with his decision to undergo such a surgery when his nation wants him. He said, “It upset me that he had the operation while there were international games, but I still decided to call him up as he has talent.”
He also encouraged him to recover faster and make himself available for his national team. He said, “He must awaken the pride in himself and demonstrate attachment to the jersey for his sake and that of the national side.”
Despite all the hyperbole, it’s now confirmed that Balotelli will not be available to lead Italian national soccer team for his Fever, and if things could recover faster; he can make himself available by Tuesdays to take on Denmark in another world cup qualifier. However, Prandelli looks desperate to win next qualifier and that’s why he has chosen a squad consisting players from as many as 12 different teams! Being the first official match between these two teams, and being having eighth rank in FIFA ranking, Prandelli is very much confident to win this qualifier and make Italy’s position stronger than others. Let’s wait and watch!
