Messi and Ronaldo Launch new collection of Nike and Adidas

November 8, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Cristiano Ronaldo

What could be an ideal stage to compete for two legendry soccer players? A soccer ground, may by. But this time two of the world’s biggest soccer stars Messi and Ronaldo are seemed to be proving their edge over each other not on a soccer field but on the launch party of two big sport’s footwear manufacturers: Nike and Adidas. While Lionel Messi launched Adidas’ new range of sport’s footwear a dizero f50, which he will wear in his next match against Celtic. Within a week or so, his close rival Ronaldo launched Nike’s special edition of shoes: Mercurial Vapor VIII CR boots. The new range will be available in stores from November 15. Just one week ago, Ronaldo appeared to be saying that he has bored of being compared with Messi and in just one week or so; he is again fighting with his arch rival on a different field. Anyhow, jokes apart, soccer is a big game, so many sports accessories companies are dying to sign any of these stars to launch their products.

Apparently, one of these two soccer legends is going to win Ballon d’Or award for best players in the world to be announced in January. Since, Messi has already won this award two times in the past, he is now willing to cast his vote in favor of his teammates Xavi and Andres Iniesta along with one of his two international colleagues: Sergio Aguero or Angel di Maria.

Lately, Messi and Ronaldo have always been the closed competitors of each other whether it’s an on-field match or off field event; both of them seem to be following each other. Since both of these players are already committed to their respective clubs, other clubs are eyeing new talent that resembles their style of play. One of them is twenty one year old Colombian footballer James Rodriguez, who is known as “new Cristiano Ronaldo” and interestingly; clubs are willing to throw away millions of dollars in signing him. Reportedly, Manchester United is after him, and willing to pay as much as £36 million in January transfer window.

Money seems to be rolling for big stars including their look alike too. Messi and Ronaldo are the perfect example of how big corporates and clubs are willingly to part away big bounties for just adding their names behind their products – and a pair of shoe is the biggest companion of a soccer player!
