Giving a needy attention to recent racial abuse incident happened to a black man at Paris Metro reportedly by Chelsea fans on Tuesday night, league side has apologized for everything that happened last night. Notably, EPL leaderboard topper have already issued a strict warning yesterday to take stiff action including a lifetime ban for any Blues fan found involved in the happening. The league giant has now categorically apologized to the victim who was denied boarding on the train that night. While investigation are going on by the local police in association with Interpol, Stamford Bridge side has already banned five peoples for attending any match at home stadium after their name brought into the case by the media. Since the incident did not happen around the match venue, UEFA earlier refused to take action against anyone hence matter was handed over to Spanish police who did prompt job and instantly started exploring the case and revealed the names of all the suspects.
Chelsea informed about their latest verdict through official website where they stated, “If it is deemed there is sufficient evidence of their involvement in the incident, the club will issue banning orders for life. I’d like to make clear, on behalf of everyone at the club, our disgust at the incident. We were appalled by what we saw.
“The club would also like to apologise unreservedly to Souleymane for the behaviour of a small number of individuals and their unforgivable action towards him. We’re writing to him to apologise and to invite him to come to a game as our guest.”
Alongside, manager Mourinho as well talked about the incident in in weekly news conference and said, “We feel ashamed but maybe we shouldn’t because I refuse to be connected with these people. I’m connected with Chelsea and the many good things this club defends. I left Chelsea in 2007 and I couldn’t wait to be back.
“I felt ashamed when I knew what happened, but I repeat I’m a proud Chelsea manager because I know what this club is.”
He also talked about the victim Mr. Souleymane and backed the initiative to bring him at Stamford Bridge and added, “I think he would watch the game, he would feel what Chelsea is, because in this moment he maybe has wrong idea of what Chelsea football club is. I don’t even know if the gentleman loves football but, for sure, you would love to feel that the miserable people who had this action with him is not Chelsea football club.”
