Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho seems to have been the victim of his destiny these days that is why nothing is going in his favor – neither in the field nor outside. Stadium ban, Portuguese was awarded post his referee remarks after Chelsea’s 3-1 loss to Southampton on Oct. 3, has been upheld by the appealing authority as informed by the Football Association. This is noteworthy that second term serving Stamford Bridge boss is also facing an inquiry in another similar disciplinary violation result of which is expected to come any time now. The 52-year-old Portuguese had raised his objection over referee Robert Madley who did not reward them a penalty during the Saints loss and later former Everton boss even said in the media that referees are ‘afraid’ of giving them deserving penalties that attracted FA to initiate a disciplinary proceeding. Anyway, that defeat brought the moral of whole side down and they are still struggling to recoup that loss.
Informing about the fate of appeal filed by the Blues boss, FA said in a statement, “An Appeal Board has dismissed the appeal from Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho in relation to a decision made by an Independent Regulatory Commission.
“At the original commission hearing, Mr Mourinho was given a suspended one-match stadium ban and fined £50,000 after he admitted a breach of FA Rules in relation to post-match media comments made following the game against Southampton on Saturday Oct. 3 2015.
“The Appeal Board has upheld the original sanction and therefore it remains that Mr Mourinho’s suspended stadium ban will be immediately invoked should he be found by an Independent Regulatory Commission to have committed a further breach of FA Rule E3 for any comment or statement to or through the media before Oct. 13 2016.”
Meantime, Mourinho agent Jorge Mendes reiterated there is no plan Portuguese will be leaving the side especially after hearing the loud and clear fans support, he said, “He doesn’t need to prove anything to anybody. He knows what to do. Many people are saying these things but there is no chance. He will solve the problem. He is the best. At FC Porto he won the Europa League, the league, the Champions League. He won everything. After that, in Chelsea he was amazing. After 50 years he won the league and everyone was very happy with him. At Inter Milan, nobody expected Inter could win the Champions League — no way. Even the quarterfinals seemed quite impossible.”
