Newcastle striker Ranger arrested for rape charges

January 26, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Nile Ranger, Newcastle striker, is one player who has always been in news for wrong reasons. If anyone has forgotten his recent misfortunate incidents; here is another one to recall his style of living. Now, he is charged for raping and assaulting a woman in a hotel room in Jesmond, Newcastle on Wednesday and Thursday. Consequently, Northumbria Police first meet him in his Forrest Hall home and later took 21-year-old striker to the police station for further questioning. While he stays in the station for long hours on Friday too, police issued a statement about his arrest; police spokeswoman said,

“On Thursday January 24 a woman reported to police that she had been raped overnight at a hotel in Jesmond. A 21-year-old man has been arrested at an address in Forest Hall on suspicion of rape.”

Actually, this is not the first time he is stuck with a controversy; his notable ‘achievements’ include his assault on police offers last year followed by a drinking driving case where he was banned for twelve months along with a £3,300 fine. He did not stop there either, coz in March; he again was fined with £6,000 for his homophobic speak via tweeter. Perhaps in his under 19 days also he was under lots of troubles at Newcastle and after his continuous failures both on field and off field he was loaned to Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley. Even after the recent Newscast’s defeat to Reading last weekend; he clashed with his fans by tweeting another provocative comment. He tweeted, “Certain fans need to not come and support this team… Coming out to BOOO us.. Stay at home.. Don’t need ur BOO’s…. SAY NO MORE !!!

“Last thing from me… To all the fans. U are not forced to buy season tickets.. Or pay our wages.. Please remember that…”

After a glimpse of his lifestyle which is full of fluffs, no one looks to be in his support – not even his fans. His latest arrest could lead him in more severe problems if any of the charges levied against him gets proved in the court of law, but the good news is, until now, police has not officially registered any complaint against him; they are just investigating the prima facie evidence. Even he just found praying to the God via a tweet that reads, “God gives the hardest battles to the strongest soldiers !!”
