The promising young Brazilian forward seems to be in a mood to let his aspiring clubs be cheered a bit by refusing any existing deal with Barcelona FC. There has been some news in the media of late whereby he was predicted to leave Brazil to make a shift to Camp Nou at a heavy deal price which Blaugrana is famous for. The news of his transfer was in circulation since last October whereby his club was going to receive €10 million up front and €40 million more in summer 2013 and remaining after 2014 world cup. This news was a setback for his aspiring clubs, like Chelsea and Manchester City, who were eyeing on him since long, but after his denial, they can relax a bit and redraft their expected deal contracts to lure this young talent right in his amateur age. Neymar issued his denial via an interview given to a newspaper where he said, “I have no agreement with Barcelona or anyone else,” said the 20-year-old Brazil international after winning the newspaper’s prestigious ‘King of South American Football’ award, which he collected in Montevideo.
“The only thing I have signed is with Santos, and I’m happy. They’re a big club with whom I’m under contract until 2014.
“The most important thing is to be happy, and I’m with my family. My objective is to help Santos and Brazil, and the best will come with hard work.”
Actually, Neymar’s links up with Barcelona especially Messi was predicted when he praised Messi’s brilliant afford of winning four Ballon d’Or along with breaking forty year old record of scoring a maximum number of goals in one calendar year. Then, his ambitions were more apparent to join Barca, but it looks something has changed behind the scene and that is why he issued a denial after months of rumors about his foreseen switchover. Adding to his statement he showed his loyalty toward his current club and his nation Brazil. He added, “I have nothing of the kind with Barcelona or any other club. I signed with Santos a contract that will see me stay here until 2014 and I am happy because this is a great club.
“My aim is to help Santos and the Brazil national team. When my time comes to leave, I promise I will warn everyone. But, its not the right time.
“I have no particular preference for any one club. There are many good clubs around the world.”
