Brazilian professional footballer Alexandre Pato, who used to play for Serie A club AC Milan, has agreed to make a shift to his native Brazilian club Corinthians for a €15m price tag. Despite his recurrent injuries and almost absence from the field in last 12 months, Brazilian could finally manage to seal a deal for his homeland club. The deal, which is reportedly signed on Thursday night, is for 100% stake in the player that means, Milan will no longer have any share out of player’s market value. Both the clubs issued their statements post agreement: Corinthians said in its statement, “Corinthinans have acquired 100% of the right to Alexandre Pato. The player will arrive in the coming day for a medical and sign a four-year contract,” and Milan also issued a statement that reads as, “AC Milan can announce that Alexandre Pato has been sold outright to Sporting Club Corinthians Paulista.”
Pato also remembered his jovial memory at Milan and said how he managed to raise his soccer skills playing for Rossoneri. Reportedly, the talks about a probable deal were in process since more than week, hence everybody was expecting such a move, especially after player’s non visibility in the field this season. Pato has scored more than 63 goals in 150 match appearances for Milan in the last five years and was keen to return to his national team ahead of world cup 2014. Pato writes an open letter to all its fans via club’s website that reads as, “I am going to Brazil, to Corinthians, so I’ll have the opportunity to play consistently. It will not, however, be easy to forget Milan.
“I will always be tied to this jersey, the club colours and all the Rossoneri fans. Above all at this moment my thoughts and my biggest thanks go to them.”
The 23 year old Brazilian striker will definitely be a new mortal boost for his home cub who was eyeing on him for long. However, his injuries will remain a problem for them too, coz he could only play four matches this season and seven matches in the last season coz of his injuries. Even though, striker is optimistic that his move will help him building his career in a positive way. However, he did not forget to thank his ex-club for their overall help in making this shift a possibility.
