Chelsea remained unbeaten this season, until now even after its sixth match in the Premium League. Yesterday, it defeated Arsenal on their home ground with a 2-1 margin, and more importantly it’s their captain John Terry who gave Chelsea their winning goal. With this victory, Chelsea is leading the leaderboard with its top ranking and 16 points, and more notably; it’s still unbeatable this season! Emirates Stadium, the home ground of Arsenal, witnessed some power pack soccer actions this Saturday where Spaniards Juan Mata (who scored the first goal) and Fernando Torres (who scored the second and winning goal) remained the scorer for Chelsea, and for Arsenal, Ivorian Gervinho scored the only goal. Chelsea was looking confident right from the word go, but Arsenal also kept a tight pressure on them until their midfielder Abou Diaby got injured in an attempt to score a goal from distance. This muscular strain kept French Abou Diaby out of the field for at least three weeks – another setback for Arsenal.
On the other side, Chelsea’s John Terry, who had proved guilty of racial abuses to Anton Ferdinand in a FA hearing last week, proved his form once again and scored the winning goal. Notably, as per the final decision taken by FA in that case, he will have to pay a fine of £220,000 for being a convict of racial abuse against other players. However, once he receives the order’s written copy, he will decide if he needs to file an appeal or not. Although Chelsea finally won the match, but Gunner’s gave them a taste of how it could feel if playing against Arsenal. On the down side, this match gave Arsenal a defeat at their home ground and an injury that can set their star midfielder out of the game for around a month.
Chelsea has won five out of its six played matches this season with only one draw, so it’s going very strong and chances are, it can have another title to its name, and that’s too when its star player has been facing an inquiry for his racial abuses. For Arsenal, even seven changes could not bring their third expected win this season.
