PSG Eye on Cristiano Ronaldo

November 25, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Cristiano Ronaldo

Everybody knows who Cristiano Ronaldo is and how capable he is to change the rules of players’ buyout contracts. Earlier too, he holds a record for being the highest paid soccer player in the history, and now; he is moving towards breaking his own record, if rumors are to be believed. In the latest turnarounds, one of the richest soccer clubs PSG seem to be interested in signing Portuguese national team’s captain, and more interestingly, the amount it is willing to pay, i.e., a whopping €123m! All of this is happening just three years after Real Madrid bought the starlet from Manchester United at an astonishing £80m record figure. Nonetheless, even if PSG get succeed in getting him, it could only happen in next year’s transfer window, and as per Ronaldo’s closed associates, he would also like to shift to Parc des Princes. Besides, since this is going to be the richest deal in soccer history, there are some financial hurdles too, like taxing rules in France.

Notably, Ronaldo along with Messi are two shortlisted nominees for this year Ballon d’Or, coz of his brilliant performance whereby he scored 165 goals in his 163 played matches. Moreover, PSG’s new Qatari owners are believed to throw money to buy best soccer talent in the world. Earlier too, they have signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva, Javier Pastore and Lucas Moura similarly. They are assumed to have more such players in their target list, but the list of all probable has not been revealed by them yet, coz now, they are only eyeing on Ronaldo for their global soccer dominance. In fact, Ronaldo’s big bash transfer was long been expected ever since his arch rival Messi singed a multi-million deal. Since, both these players are known to follow each other, such deal can motivate Messi to again surge his price tag.

Manchester City’s striker Mario Balotelli could be the next target of PSG to maintain their global portfolio of best soccer players. Anyways, it’s very difficult for big priced deals like this one to comply with UEFA’s financial fair play rules, moreover PSG don’t seem to be interested in complying with those rules either. Since, now, PSG has an eye catching squad containing jubilant soccer talents, it is planning to shift to a new 80,000 capacity stadium in the heart of French capital. Even if PSG fail to sign Ronaldo due to French taxing rules, there is one more interesting contender, i.e., Manchester City. Let’s see whom Ronaldo plays his next season with.
