QPR loaned Adel Taarabt to Fulham

August 6, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

It has become a trend in soccer now where managers and coaches try to hire their charming players whenever they join new clubs, we have seen something like this is in the making with Chelsea where its new manager is putting his all resources to hire some of the best talents he has played with while at Everton. Moroccan footballer Adel Taarabt is the next in this trend, and his long back associate Martin Jol wants him in Fulham while he is still in contract with English club QPR. Actually, things went in player’s favor when QPR was relegated to Championship and Harry Redknapp’s side had to rethink on their strategy for the next season and Taarabt doesn’t deserve a place in his new side, hence he decided to let him go on loan to another League club Fulham. The 24-year-old was given a contract extension in the last season therefore it would have not been viable to sell him, perhaps club can get back some of its signed amount back via his loaned departure. Fulham manager Martin Jol singed him back in 2007 when he was with Tottenham and they both have since enjoyed good relations, so it is very much likely that Taarabt will be given more opportunities to dig out his hidden talent at Craven Cottage.

Martin Jol said on his arrival that “We agreed everything with the club so the only thing we have to do is a medical. If that is sound and good, he will join us. The medical will be. I like his creativity and, of course, sometimes it comes off when he scores a lot of goals and I think he was involved in 40 goals. It is like Dimitar Berbatov – sometimes these fantastic talents will be blamed but I hope to find a way to get him in together with the boys we’ve got. I think he can do a hell of a job for us because he is a tremendous player on the ball.”

He further revealed his desire to have Taarabt wherever he goes, he added, “I have known him now for a long time. When I was at Hamburg, I wanted him but thought the money Daniel Levy asked for was too much. Then I went to Ajax and I thought it was too much for a player that never played. Then I was too late after that because he went to QPR, where he did ever so well. Remember the fact he was an over £10 million player 12 months ago, so I think you have to take them when they are bad and hopefully he will show his potential here.”
