Madrid’s high profile Ronaldo is sure to leave Ciudad after the news of his tie up with his old favorite Manchester United has flashed in the media. Perhaps, Madrid also seems not to be interested in renewing the contract for Ronaldo, coz they have already shortlisted another player for him. Tottenham Hotspur and Welsh national team footballer Gareth Bale said to be the prime target of Real Madrid, but according to his current club, they will only sell their player if Madrid is willing to pay £60million price tag. This amount is much more than their earlier asking price or they are trying to encash the opportunity, coz Rolando contract dispute is known to everyone now. On the other side, Ronaldo himself can now push Madrid to either pay him what he wants or let him go to his favorite club at a hefty replacement cost. Madrid is surely interested in signing up the deal as soon as possible, but Spurs looks in no mood to undergo a smooth transfer.
The mounting price asked looks much above the expected value of Bale, but according to Chairman Daniel Levy, they take their star player in line with Lionel Messi, Ronaldo and Radamel Falcao, and that is why they have asked a hefty transfer fee. Gareth Bale is also in news these days for his diving notes, perhaps he has been slapped a yellow card in the last match against Sunderland by referee Martin Atkinson. It was his fifth booking since the start of last season, which is three more than any other player, coz of this, he will miss next clash with Reading at White Hart Lane on the New Year day. After gaining a popularity for wrong reasons, Bale lashed out on the referee, he said, “It’s not something I’m doing, it’s people thinking I’m diving when there is actually contact. At the end of the day if there is contact then it’s a penalty or free-kick. If there is contact and I fall over, what am I expected to do, hit my head on the floor?
“It’s extremely unfair he misses the Reading game for such a big mistake. It looks like persecution this time. Jermain Defoe did a dive in the first half and the referee didn’t do anything.”
So, let see how Madrid affords an opportunistic club’s demand at the cost of his star striker: Ronaldo!
