Rejuvenated Moyes sees real chances to defend his League title

November 12, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

How your fortune can change overnight is perfectly visualized on Sunday when defending league champions surprisingly defeated current hot favorite to win the title Arsenal by 1-0. The narrowed winning margin shows why they are the contemporary hot favorite in the league season this year. Manchester United, who has until been out of top five finally entered into the fifth spot with just a five point trail from The Gunners. The match had been eagerly waited by United fans coz they wanted to see if their team can extend their undefeated run with Wenger army, and rightly so, they won fifth consecutive match against The Invisible. Like everyone expected, Robin van Persie again proved to be lethal for the Holloway side and scored the only goal of the game while David Moyes won his 1000th League point during his 634th match – another feat for the 50-year-old Scottish. Actually, the whole surroundings have changed with just one match in England, earlier everyone was expecting United to be a spectator residing outside of the top spots, but now they are again in the league and ready to reclaim their lost glory thanks to their three back to back triumphs.

Moyes now expects a tougher series ahead of them coz unlike last season there are two to three probables this time and each of them is as likely to win as anyone else. This Scottish football manager has seen many ups and downs during his short stay at Old Trafford and faced criticism from every corner of the world after he took over legendry Sir Alex Ferguson in July. He talked about his calculations and why he predicts a different league finish this year and said, “This is another step on the ladder. We’re improving and getting better, and we hope it will get much, much better in the coming months and years. We have got a lot of big steps to take here and it is going to take me a while to get it all the way I want it to be. We are going to get a few bloody noses along the way but the league has shown that a few other clubs will be getting them as well.

“But Manchester United were champions last year and there’s a lot of people [who have] written them off very quickly – which is fine – but hopefully come the end of the season we will not be too far away from it.”
