Rio wants to end his career with MU

September 16, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Rio Ferdinand

Rio Ferdinand, the man behind MU’s successes in last few years has said that he would like to be with Manchester United until he is thrown out by the manager. Notably, the star footballer still has one whole year left under the contract between him and MU club. He is also near to mark his 400th match presence for MU in last ten years. The long and dedicated association between Rio and MU could be revived if 33 years old football could manage to remain fit and healthy, coz not many 30 plus players can make it for Manchester United. During his tenure of ten long years, Manchester United won several titles, like Premium League five times, FA cup once, League Cup twice, and many more. Recently, Rio gave an interview to an English newspaper where he discussed about his future plans. He, however, recalls his rememberable journey for Manchester United and said, I known how it feels to be here for so long time and I will continue playing for MU till Sir Alex Ferguson finds him eligible and fit for the team.

Even after so many successes in his successful career, he still feels he is incomplete and his job is not finished yet. He also added that he wants to retire as a proud MU player whose head is high on his shoulders and when his chest is puffed out for the performances he gave for the club. Despite of the fact that he is near to his 400th match participation, he blames his recent injuries that caused him miss many matches else he would have crossed his 500th mark for Manchester United.

Overall, Manchester United has always given football many great players and Rio is next of them with his so many brilliant match performances. As he is going closer to his retirement, his appearance is more important than a match’s result that shows how magnificent he is on the field. Moreover, the great Manchester United’s defender also offset all the speculations that he has had better offerings from other clubs recently; he said there is no question of leaving Manchester United during his lifetime – at least! He enjoyed every moment he spent playing with MU coz he believes, Manchester United has everything any footballer can ask for: reputation, a proud history, and an excellent training facility which made his gaming skills even sharper. So, we’ll continue seeing him on the field for next one year –at least.
