Rodgers praises Fabio Borini ahead of faceoff with Sunderland

March 8, 2014 by 888Scoreonline

It is a common practice to loan a non performing player to someone else, especially when a side has spent a big sum on buying him. English premier league is one of the best professional soccer playing zones where clubs do not hesitate in switching any player to others if they are not scoring for them and Fabio Borini has been such a player for Liverpool who spent 10.5 million pounds to sign the Italian footballer from Roma back in 2012. Soon, they realized he needs more experience to transform into a player they were looking for and wasted no time to loan him to Sunderland where he proved his worth and became the hero. This is not the first time anything like this has happened on soccer pitch, there are lots of similar cases where a player gets his momentum when loaned to other team especially to a rival. Though, Borini has scored just on six occasions out of his 28 match appearances, but these goals proved to be the turning points for The Rokerites making his form as the luckiest, in fact, it has now become his habit to score in big games and this is what Liverpool manager likes about him.

Brendan Rodgers is even thinking to add him into their side considering upcoming high profile league games where they would face some of the baggies and fight to sustain their top position on the leaderboard. Rodgers calling Borini’s good form as the result of stability he got playing on loan and this is what that could benefit the Anfield side as well. Actually, he is not the only one who is getting precious experience playing outside Liverpool, in fact, he is among twelve others who are enriching their skills somewhere else to secure long term career with Brendan Rodgers side. Talking about him and other parallel players, 41-year-old Northern Irish footballer said, “Fabio has got games and scored some very important goals. He got the opportunity to play in a major final at Wembley. All that bodes well for the future. Young Suso has had a terrific loan in Spain playing regular first-team football. He will come back and come into the squad in the summer and then we will assess where he’s at.

“The loans have certainly been beneficial. There are different types of loans for different players. In particular for the young players it’s very important for them to gain that experience. It’s good for us to put them into clubs who operate with a similar philosophy. That helps their development and hopefully brings them back ready to play pressurised football at a high level.”
