World cup has entered into the second stage and this is the phase which is most difficult for teams who eventually get over here by their good luck or coz of the bad luck of other good teams in their group who missed the opportunity somehow. Columbia is one such team who entered into the quarterfinal defeating Uruguay, Uruguay is the team who has been in the news for last few days for infamous biting act of its star player Suarez and his ban. It does not mean Columbia did anything wrong on the field, in fact, they triumphed the pre-quarterfinal with an impressive 2-0 margin, but their biggest hurdle is here – Brazil, who is ready to face them in the quarterfinal. There is also a good news for them, coz as per initial reports, Neymar, the firing power in South American team, is apparently having a swallowed thigh and if he does not play in the quarterfinal, it would be another good opportunity for the Columbians to use best of their skill to enter into the last four. Neymar sustained the injury back in the last game with Chile when he struck with Arturo Vidal, Gary Medel, and Charles Aranguiz in an attempt to possess the ball and eventually ended with a serious dive that caused his thigh swallowed.
He continued playing the full match while his manager advised him not to play in the second half. Anyways, for now, Coach Luiz Felipe Scolari is worrying about his recovery by the next match and if they can substitute him with any other player. Though, there are five days are still there but a bone swelling takes much longer time to heal completely and this is what worrying the coach who is using services of best sports medical team. He also held referee responsible for the rough treatment Chilean players offered to their star forward and said referee should have warned the group of players who targeted only Neymar and never led him move freely in the field. He said, “We couldn’t understand how somebody hits with that strength and gets no card. Some people say Neymar falls too easily. He fell three times. There were 15 fouls on Sanchez and after 12 he went down.
“We always see how hesitant referees are when it comes to Brazil. If we are going to be champions it can’t be like this, it has to be the same for everyone. We’re starting to doubt that.”
