No one can deny the fact that terror is an unsolicited reality in contemporary sports; perhaps many organized gangs use popular sports and ask government agencies to agree on their demands. Many countries strictly handle them while some countries, on some occasions, also agree on terror groups demands on a gun point. This time, one of the biggest sporting event’s fate is on stake, coz one of biggest organized Brazilian gangs has warned severe terror attacks on highly crowded venues during the event. This threat has come after government scattered all the gang prisoners to across the country to break their communication network. Notably, the gang called First Capital Command is one of the biggest and professional terror outfits having more than 11000 active members; this gang is special coz there are professionals of every field in it; hence if they are warning something, administration needs to look at it and prepare how they would tackle them in a real world. Apart from world cup, PCC has also threatened to target general election and other popular events in the country to extent their voice to the whole world and what they are demanding is centralized imprisonment of their members.
PCC is actually the leader of drug trafficking in entire Brazil and neighborhood States; in fact, they have now started ruling other crime zones as well, including prostitution, human trafficking, and more. The group was initially formed in Sao Paulo, but now it has spread across the country with more than hundreds of local groups led by their local heads.
FIFA is following the development and is in touch with local administration, they are even asking for the detailed action plans government has prepared for controlling these mess makers. However, the law enforcement agencies have ruled out any impact of these mischief-makers on WC games, in fact, they are confident to organize each of the event matches smoothly without any untoward happening. Sao Paulo’s public security office issued a statement that says, “It is a group that should be taken seriously and being fought like any criminal organization. However, the information gathered so far by intelligence services does not point to any indication that any attack will occur. This is not the time to generate alarmism.”
Apart from this, information agencies are tracing each and every suspect via phone tracking, patrolling, and by using every intelligence help. Hopefully, it will come out to be just a threat – nothing else!
