November 27, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

The fifteen players’ list of FIFA/FIFPro’s World XI 2012 has been released yesterday, and again, this list has some of the interesting soccer names. The joint venture of soccer’s supreme governing body FIFA and professional players association FIFPro unveiled just recently. The interesting segment is the midfield of this world XI which is being dominated by Spanish players as there are six Spanish players among 15 nominated. Other usual names are Barcelona starlet Xavi and Iniesta who could make their entry for the third consecutive year in a row. Notably, it’s the seventh year since this award is being given, and Juventus and Italy midfielder Pirlo is among the two brilliant players who could make their name every year even since this award has been initiated. Another name marking his name is Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard. Moreover, Legue 1’s player of the year Eden Hazard made his debut in the current list.

This list contains all the probable nominees who could be in the final XI to be announced early next year at Zurich Kongresshaus. Since, Spain’s recent performance was magnificent whereby it won EURO 2012 early this year; there are four nominations only from its Euro cup’s winning squad along with other players. This award is being considered one of the most respected awards in soccer fraternity, perhaps every soccer player dreams of being in the squad at least once in his lifetime. Anyways, on one side, some players could make it for seventh consecutive year while others made their debut this year, in any case all, of them could make their dreams come true.

The list of fifteen candidates for World XI 2012 is as follows:

Xabi Alonso (Spain and Real Madrid), Sergio Busquets (Spain and FC Barcelona), Cesc Fabregas (Spain and FC Barcelona), Steven Gerrard (England and Liverpool), Eden Hazard (Belgium and Chelsea), Andres Iniesta (Spain and FC Barcelona), Frank Lampard (England and Chelsea), Luka Modric (Croatia and Real Madrid), Mesut Ozil (Germany and Real Madrid), Andrea Pirlo (Italy and Juventus), Franck Ribery (France and Bayern Munich), David Silva (Spain and Manchester City), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Germany and Bayern Munich), Yaya Toure (Ivory Coast and Manchester City), Xavi Hernandez (Spain and FC Barcelona).
