Current transfer window is on its last phase and soccer clubs around the world are trying to finalize their summer findings by staging their final bids for aspiring players. Among the most popular soccer leagues, EPL has always been an eye candy for world football and that is why everything happens here is a big news. Stoke City, like other league clubs, is also gearing up its belt to come with a strong challenge this EPL season and how it is making it sure is via bringing in some of its long time key interests. It has reportedly signed up a pre-deal contract with US national team player Juan Agudelo. Though, he is currently in contract with MLS team New England Revolution but soon he would be available as winger and Stoke has done its homework to catch him as soon as possible. The 20-year-old has been Potters’ charm especially in the last few weeks after club Mark Hughes himself had a look at his last season profile. He netted twice in his seventeen appearances for US national team and in US league also his performance was impressive.
Stoke boss Mark Hughes confirmed his interest via a press statement where he quoted, “We are hopeful of progressing that. There seems to be a willingness from most sides. He’s a good young player and we feel he’s got potential and we would like that to happen.” Similarly, Agudelo also confirmed his ongoing talks with EPL club, he cautiously said, “right now I’m focused on playing with the Revolution, but, I mean, everyone knows what I signed,” maybe he is expecting you to guess where he is supposed to move in the next season.
If we look at the current Stroke lineup, there are three US nationalists and he would be fourth one to join the gang; other three are: Geoff Cameron, Brek Shea, and Maurice Edu. If a recent media news is to be believed, Stoke’s next target is going to be Senegalese footballer Mame Biram Diouf who is in contract with German club Hannover 96, and reportedly, Stroke officials have already visited Germany to hold talks about a possible long term deal with the 25-year-old forward. If all the running signings are completed by the Britannia club, there would be four new players joining it army which could also mean it is being prepared to present a strong competition to all top league clubs in the next season.
