An understanding has finally been made between West Ham and Liverpool for England’s striker Andy Carroll at a price of £15 million; this amount is much lower than the amount Liverpool paid for the striker back in January 2011. The price given then was £35m coz of player’s form where he scored as many as 31 goals in 81 appearances for Newcastle United, but unfortunately, he could not continue his decent form playing for Liverpool; hence it has to look around for a buyer of its surplus asset. Notably, Carroll has also been withdrawn from England national team for friendlies against Republic of Ireland and Brazil, though the reason told was his heel injury. Andy Carroll is Out for Eight Weeks
Injuries seem to be raining on this English Premier League where some of the finest soccer players are getting injured one after other. An injury to a star player has always been a blow for its team, especially if he has been hired on loan, coz then; player’s original owner loses him without any reason. Last Wednesday, in an EPL match between Manchester United and West Ham United, Hammers striker Andy Carroll got an unexpected knee injury which is likely to rule him out for eight weeks minimum. It could be a major blow for both: West Ham United and Liverpool, the owner of Carroll. This season, West Ham United hired him on loan from Liverpool where he joined after a mounting £35min fees in 2011. His twisted knee could take around two months to fully recover and to play him again for Ham United – hopefully.
