Barcelona has again been unlucky despite its win over Benfica by 2-0 in Champions League coz its central defender and captain Carles Puyol got himself injured again. Perhaps, the injury is so deep that he will miss the field for at least two months or even more coz his left elbow has badly been injured. The 34 year old got his elbow injured when he was trying a header and landed uncomfortably and start screaming with unbearable pain, he was then lifted on a stretcher off to the a hospital. The year 2012 has brought on some nightmare injuries for star midfielder, it was his first match after his hamstring problem and now he is again out for another period. Barca’s midfield is already in an adversity coz its another player: Gerard Pique, is also recovering from his foot injury. Now, Barca’s next match is against its arch rival Real Madrid on Saturday where Barco will be without its skipper too. Brazilian midfielder Oscar Dos Santos aka Oscar has been signed on by Chelsea for the current CL season. Juventus coach Antonio Conte’s ban extended to cover all matches
Antonio Conte, the once Italian footballer and now Juventus’s manager, has got his 10 month ban extended to cover all possible matches, including Champions League campaign against Chelsea which is scheduled to begin next week. Antonio Conte has had his twelve months ban penalized by Italian football federation for his involvement in alleged match fixing scandals which has finally been extended by FIFA according to its disciplinary codes. FIFA told in its statement that the said action has been taken in accordance with rule 136 of FIFA disciplinary codes which now cover every possible match, means he will not be able to participate in any national, international, friendly, and other official fixtures. Moreover, the said ban can also be increased if the documents provided by Italian football association, for its decision to ban him, demand further action.
