Chelsea finally ‘regrets’ about Mark Clattenburg issue

November 30, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

There is a saying that ‘all well if ends well,’ and it holds true with Chelsea who was in news for its complaint against referee Mark Clattenburg claiming he used offensive or rather racial language against its player John Obi Mikel. That incident created a storm among racial watchdogs of the society, especially English football association. Recently, all the charges against Mark Clattenburg were dismissed by governing body citing they did not find anything against him, disciplinary committee even held player himself responsible of such an incident if happened, coz despite being connected via microphones, no assistant referee or other officers listened the said words as leveled by Chelsea. Ever since the case was dismissed, Chelsea was on the back foot, and everybody was expecting it to regret about whole episode which has now happened - at last! Now, Chelsea has openly accepted that it was wrong to exaggerate the issue which should have not done by a club like Chelsea. It also … [Read more...]

Clattenburg Cleared by FA, Chelsea is on the black foot

In a high profile racial abuse case last month, Chelsea filed a complaint of referee Mark Clattenburg accusing him using an abusive language to its Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel. That case got widest publicity, perhaps Clattenburg got banned for the time being. Now, FA ruled off all the racial allegations leveled by Chelsea, and said; it was Mikel who would have provoked the referee else there was no misconduct done by him. Actually, racial abuses have become intolerable these days, and that’s why after Terry’s case, English FA seems to be investigating every complaint it encounters with quickly. It is less than one month that event happened and FA has reached on a conclusion and decided in Referee’s favor. Notably, Clattenburg is a world’s most experienced soccer official who has been in FIFA elite penal and took charge of Olympic final at London 2012. Chelsea seems to be on the back foot after this judgment, perhaps, now, the pressure is on it to prove that there was actually … [Read more...]

Chelsea Say Goodbye to Di Matteo

Chelsea Say Goodbye to Di Matteo

How much it could cost to manger of a defending champion when he brings it down to almost elimination? An immediate sacking? Yes, and this is what happened with Chelsea when its boss Roman Abramovich sacked Chelsea’s manger Di Matteo after a defeat to Juventus in UEFA Champions League. It was not just a defeat; it brought Chelsea down on the threshold of elimination from a league which was won by it last year; perhaps, its manager’s sacking in not related to one loss only. There are, in fact, only two wins out of eight played matches in current Champions Series despite Chelsea’s brilliant .start of the season. Notably, it was the Di Matteo who led Chelsea when it claimed both Champions League and FA Cup in the last season, and as a reward; he got a permanent job as manager in June. Now, he becomes the eighth manager being sacked by Russian Billionaire Abramovich since he took the club back in 2003. But the good news is; his survival ran a week longer than his earlier colleague Andre … [Read more...]

Chelsea skipper out for three weeks

Chelsea skipper out for three weeks

John Terry is a most famous name these days as far Chelsea is concerned but for erroneous reasons. For now, there are no allegations leveled against him nor has he used any racial abusive language to anyone. Let’s keep it simple, John Terry, Chelsea’s skipper, is out for at least three weeks after he injured his knee when he collided with Luis Suarez in 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Sunday. His injury looked serious initially when he was taken off the field on a stretcher, but later, injury was not found as serious as it was predicted earlier. Blues coach Roberto Di Matteo said “With Terry, we're looking at approximately three weeks out, fortunately it's not as bad as we first thought.” Actually, it was an unlucky day for Terry coz he just returned after a four matches’ suspension and got a forced leave again. However, the good news is, he scored the only goal from Chelsea side in 20th minute of the game. Quoting his injury as unfortunate, Matteo said, “Terry's injury was unfortunate as … [Read more...]

Fellaini: I want Only Best

Twenty five years old German footballer Marouane Fellaini could be the latest heartthrob across all the big clubs at the moment, yet he needs something more! Attacking midfielder Fellaini is a star player for both Everton and German’s national soccer team, but in last few weeks, a newsflash is rounding up mentioning he could leave Everton, or rather; he is interested in other clubs, etc. Now, he puts a dot on all rumors and clearly said that he only wants to play with a big club though he did not define which club. Anyways, everybody knows that he is in a terrific form this season, so he would probably like to encash each bit of his performance, even he could set another record in terms of contract figure if he could get a hand of one of the big cubs. According to some news, Chelsea looks interested in him though there is no confirmed report from either side. Over his Chelsea transfer, he said, “There is interest in me. But Everton are an ambitious club as well. I don't think they will … [Read more...]
