So, the fate of 10-month-old Manchester United manager has finally been decided by the club bosses who sacked him for miserable performance from the defending champions in this Premier League season. This is one of the most obvious decisions being taken by a club; in fact, many experts were calling for this sacking months before when United first broke its own record of losing a maximum number of consecutive home games. Factually, this is not a surprise for anyone coz Moyes could never be a team leader for once Alex’s team who ruled Old Trafford for 26 long years. More importantly, he was the choice of resigning manager himself hence he had to support him in between but could no longer convince the bosses about his skill and talent to lead a team like Manchester United. The much expected decision was announced after a long meeting with club’s vice chairman Ed Woodward. As far the substitute is concerned, player-coach Ryan Giggs would be in charge for the time being or until a suitable … [Read more...]
Moyes happy to see United comeback
Everyone loves to see a defending champions behaving like a defending champion, and this year when Manchester United failed to impress with his shoddy show, everyone was highly disappointed especially new manager David Moyes who just replaced legendry Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford. The 50-year-old Scottish football manager is now happy and jubilant looking at his team’s performance under pressure; perhaps their last win over Stroke was magnificent where they came from the back and eventually won the game. Actually, Moyes is now the happiest man in this world coz he earlier faced widespread criticism from every corner of the world first on his failure to sign players in transfer window and then not been able to motivate payers to defend their earned title. Ferguson supports Moyes and calls for a title win
Everyone knows how difficult it is to replace a legendry manager especially if such manager has mentored a club like Manchester United. If we scan the record book, Sir Alex Ferguson is the one person who can stun any opponent by his brilliant soccer mind. No one denies the fact that it would have been difficult for Moyes to take his position after Red Devils won Premier league last season. If we look at his initial few months at Old Trafford, he could not smell a success on any front; may it be on signing of new players in the transfer window or beginning the current league session like a winner. League’s leaderboard clearly shows how devastating United journey has been this summer so far and everyone is blaming only one person: David Moyes. No body seems to be with the new manager except the unexpected former legendry Sir Alex Ferguson who came forward in his defense when the whole world doubts his ability to mentor League defenders. Ferguson can easily guess about the mental stage … [Read more...]
David Moyes is still the right man for United: Sir Alex Ferguson
There have been many cases in almost every sport when we saw a retired player or coach or even a manager came back after looking a desperate need for him. But, this is not always correct for a legendary soccer manager to come back in a hurry without offering much time to new manager to answer his critics. This is something that is being happened with League title defender Manchester United where newly appointed manager looks unable to revive his team’s debacle start this year. Perhaps, his failures started right from the moment he placed bids for players during the last transfer window, but unfortunately for him, he could not be successful on most of the occasions, which was then linked with his incompetence to negotiate. Now, he is saying they lack world class players while other soccer pundits say United needs a desperate mix of both new and legendry players. Under these circumstances, only one name came into the mind of everyone, i.e., Sir Alex Ferguson and media started flashing … [Read more...]
David Moyes finds his team incompetent to triumph Champions League
Top soccer officials are known for their exaggerated media statements; perhaps most of the times, this is also a part of their game plan where they try to influence other teams by one mean or another, but United’s newly appointed manager seems to be moving far away from the footprints of his former legendry Sir Alex Ferguson who was known to demoralize any opponent by his intelligently spoken media statements. Moyes unexpectedly says that he doesn’t think his team has enough talent to triumph Europe this year, which means, he is also not optimistic for defending their league title. The statement came after their three initial defeats out of first six played league matches that threw them out of the top five spots. The most feasible reason for his shacking confidence could be his failure to sign some of his summer targets; perhaps he could not be successful on most of the occasions and many believe since he lacks negotiation skills he failed so many times in the last transfer window. … [Read more...]
