Protest over Renovation of Maracana Stadium
While Brazilian FA is busy in preparing stadiums for coming FIFA world cup, there are other problems coming by in this process. As told earlier, FIFA has asked Brazilian FA to ready at least six stadiums by March 2013, coz at the moment; there is only one stadium which can be treated as complete. Among others, Maracana Stadium is one which needs thorough renovation work and this process can take much more time than expected coz of extensive protest from a nearby school’s students and a museum’s lovers. Actually, for complete renovation of this stadium, it needs to be demolished first and this demolition will affect the nearby structures, including a Public school and a Museum and this is what that is not being liked by peoples there. FFF President is hopeful to have all stadiums ready by Euro 2016
The most awaited soccer event, after FIFA World Cup, Euro 2016 may be far away from now, but its preparation timings are even more important at the moment. France is the host of coming mega Euro event, and as expected, its groundings are running smoothly than expected, perhaps France Football Federation’s president Noël Le Graët has expressed his satisfaction over the stadiums which are being renovated for hosting some of the most entertaining soccer events. The news is more important in the eyes of UEFA’s demand to inform it about the progress of at least nine stadiums by its Executive Committee’s meet which is scheduled to happen on January 24 next year. England to Clash with Poland without Lampard and Bertrand
It has been confirmed by FA that Chelsea’s duo: Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand will not be a part of England’s squad for their next world cup qualifier match against Poland in Warsaw on Tuesday citing their injuries and illness. Earlier, they both have missed the match against San Marino too, but this time, Roy Hodgson was hopeful for their comeback for Poland clash, and unfortunately, this could not happen. Last night, Football Association issued a statement and said, “Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand have been ruled out of England's FIFA World Cup qualifier with Poland. Kaka’s Comeback for Brazil after two years
Brazilian attacking midfielder Kaka is set to have his comeback for Brazil after a gap of two long years. His name is included in the squad by Brazilian Coach Mano Menezes, who has just announced Brazilian team for some friendly matches against Iraq, Sweden, Japan, and Poland in next month.
