Frank Lampard sets up new record, pushes Chelsea into Champions League
Chelsea’s midfielder Frank Lampard has achieved a milestone by becoming the highest goals’ scorer for his club beating Bobby Tambling's record of 202 goals. He also played the lead role in away match with Aston Villa on Saturday by scoring both goals for his side. His goals came on the right time coz Chelsea was trailing with 1-0 at one stage but when Lampard struck a goal in 61st minute and then a winner in the 88 minutes, it was confirmed that Blues would play in the Champions League. It was a dream for his temporary manager to finish at least in the top four, and he did it in style thanks to the record breaking performance by Frank Lampard. England to Clash with Poland without Lampard and Bertrand
It has been confirmed by FA that Chelsea’s duo: Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand will not be a part of England’s squad for their next world cup qualifier match against Poland in Warsaw on Tuesday citing their injuries and illness. Earlier, they both have missed the match against San Marino too, but this time, Roy Hodgson was hopeful for their comeback for Poland clash, and unfortunately, this could not happen. Last night, Football Association issued a statement and said, “Frank Lampard and Ryan Bertrand have been ruled out of England's FIFA World Cup qualifier with Poland. Lampard and Bertrand did not take part in England's 5-0 win over San Marino, and will not be ready for Tuesday's game.” However, there is also a respite for Hodgson coz Steven Gerrard is now available, earlier he was out due to his nine match suspension.
