There have been many cases in the past where a popular soccer player was charged for assaulting his wife or girlfriend, but this is something more severe in nature that happened to John Paintsil’s wife. She was reportedly harshly assaulted by none other than his husband who kept beating her consistently even after she jumped out of her house wall and entered into neighbor’s home. Paintsil followed her into neighbor’s house and slapped to neighbor also. Greater Accra Police P.R.O. Freeman Tettey confirmed about his arrest while he was giving an interview to a news source. Even before his media brief, this news was already out thanks to a freelancer journalist who was there in the police station at the moment when Paintsil was brought into there.
