Terry refuses a handshake with FA chairman Bernstein
Former English captain John Terry is the one figure who got maximum publicity from his act of racial abuse against QPR defender Anton Ferdinand last year. He had to forgo his captaincy along with four matches’ suspension. Though, he was later cleared by Westminster Magistrates Court, but English FA did not forgive him and continued his four matches’ domestic ban. After almost two months of absence from the field; Chelsea captain could enter in the New Year with his recovery from knee injury. Notably, the captain was sidelined after he faced four matches’ suspension over his racial comment row and then his knee injury against Liverpool.
