Don’t right off City; Fernandinho says recalling 2012 and 2014 Premier League seasons

Manchester City has always been the side no one can easily rule out at least in English premier league and this year when this Manchester giant looks rather in cold form, everyone wants to rule them out for title hope but there are few loyal City fans who still believe their side is capable of turning around the things. The 30-year-old midfielder Fernandinho is one such player who says ten points difference from board topper Leicester City is not that much they can’t get rid of. Etihad side is sitting at number four on the table with a strong competition from West Ham for a Championship league qualification next year and if we practically look at their chance to sustain a ranking among top two especially when just five or six games remaining in the season, it looks almost impossible. Anyways, supporting his claim Fernandinho recalls City’s 2012 form when they won last six games and clinched the title. Not only that 2014 was the another season when they changed the board arithmetic in … [Read more...]

Stevan Jovetic recalls his spell at Manchester City, calls Italian league better than EPL

December 17, 2015 by 888Scoreonline

It is not uncommon to see a player starts praising his current side ignoring everything good about his former one if he had been forced to make that switch. Former Manchester City midfielder Stevan Jovetic is one such player who now plays for Italian club Inter Milan after having passed through two disappointing seasons in England that enforced him to switch to central Europe. Now, he has been a San Siro player since last two seasons and during these two spells he has grossly been successful and looking at this success rate, he decided to talk about his former English side and why he had to make the extreme step. Expectedly, he first talk about his new league and confesses competition level in Italian league is way harder than English premier league. This could be his loyalty that is speaking against his former side otherwise there is no point in believing that any other European league is better than EPL. Although, he made an emphatic start of the new spell taking Milan to the top of … [Read more...]

Manchester City defeated Everton by 3-2 amid Aguero’s thigh injury

May 5, 2014 by 888Scoreonline

Last Manchester City vs Everton clash could have been a jubilant affair for Manuel Pellegrini side coz they not only crushed their last tough rival in the tourney by 3-2, but also gained the top leaderboard position - something that they had been missing for quite some time now, actually they were trailing by other teams just because they played lesser number of games to others. The good news always comes with some bad traits and this is something that seems to be happened with Argentinean forward Sergio Aguero who sustained an injury in last showdown. He had to leave the field for his thigh problem in the first half and media since raising speculations whether he would be fit for next games or not. But good news is, he has nulled all these rumors and said his injury is not serious as it looked apparently, hence he would be fit by the next game with West Ham. Though, his medical reports do not say anything about his fast recovery, but close sources have said he is recovering faster and … [Read more...]

Toure denies his unsettled reports with Manchester City

November 15, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has been a famous personality off late not for his performances on the field but for his tweets he used to ruled out rumors that he is unsatisfied at Etihad Stadium and wants to leave them. This time, media is not responsible as this is a manmade story where everyone misunderstood former striker Rodney Marsh’s statement and interpreted it as he said 30-year-old is unhappy with last year’s league runner up. Interestingly, he took the help of Twitter to let the world know what actually lies beneath and frankly tweeted, “Hey buddies, don’t listen to the rumours, I’m happy at City. How can I be unhappy when I get so much love and respect from everyone at City;” he also posted a picture of himself along with his brother. Notably, he has been one of the few consistent performers for Manuel Pellegrini’s side who has served them as the vice-captain as well in absence of skipper Vincent Kompany which shows his worth for the club. Many times, it is … [Read more...]
