Manchester City targets Real’s Pepe

July 5, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

EPL runner-up Manchester City’s new manager is trying to do some kind of experiment these days by hiring players in their expiring days. This is perhaps against the raining strategy in soccer these days where clubs all around the world are hiring young players at rather a cheaper price. Though, an experience thirty plus player also costs much lesser but still it is a gamble to bet on someone after his glorious days are gone. Spanish club Real Madrid is one of the few top rated clubs who generally do not sell their peak players, but present case is slightly different, coz according to rumors in the media, EPL club is interested in Real’s thirty-year old center defender Pepe. This is a surprising bid by Pellegrini especially looking at upcoming Champions league yet it’s not entirely unbelievable coz City has already done this with other buying this summer. Like, they have already signed 28-year old Fernandinho along with Alvaro Negredo who is also a 27-year old player. The unexpected … [Read more...]

May 25, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Manchester City has been trying to show its optimistic approach towards future games ever since it fired its manager for not securing their EPL title. Roberto Mancini, who mentored the club for three and a half years, faced the heat after shadow performance in the FA Cup final and in the EPL where it ended with a long gap of eleven points from United. This statement could look like a hyperbole especially looking club’s last run, but it could also be taken as a reviving turn of a club who was severely blamed for its low minded approach and lack of will to win in last few months. Soriano also hinted that City has no plans to follow their arch rival and appoint a manager that could serve them for more than two decades; perhaps he supports a maximum of … [Read more...]

May 16, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Former Manchester City striker, 22-year-old, Mario Balotelli finally comes into the news after missing the headlines for more than weeks, but this time, he has done something which is not completely wrong. Actually, three AC Milan’s players were subjected to racial chanting in the last match between AC Milan and Roma on Sunday and that chanting continued even after an official appeal, perhaps match had to be stopped for two minutes to tackle the situation. Joleon Lescott joined EPL club Manchester City back in 2009 at a hefty fee of around 22 million, he has since been a regular part for the FA cup finalists, but as of now, his current contract is going to expire soon; hence he is quite skeptical about whether he will be offered another deal by his club or not. He surely wants to continue with the City and that is why he himself took the initiative and asked about his future at Manchester. Notably, he has played almost 100 league matches for the club which also includes an important contribution in City’s EPL title win back in 2011-12 – first time since 1968. Before City, he has been associated with many other clubs in the past, like Wolves and Everton, but the way his career preceded staying at Manchester is something that he would like to continue. Off late, he has seen some layoffs from crucial matches, including some world cup qualifiers, hence he is not sure whether City is any more interested in him or not.
