VS. A live telecast generates higher revenue than live spectators, this is known to everyone, but this is probably the first time when FA has rescheduled a final match just to facilitate its broadcasters rather caring about thousands of fans who want to return home on the same day. FA cup final is scheduled to play between first timer Wigan and Manchester City and this match is expected to be full of entertainment coz of Wigan, who is in fine form, and City, who is also looking to win its second trophy in last three seasons. As confirmed by FA, this year’s FA cup final will be kicked off on 5.15pm leaving no room for fans to return back if match goes into the extra time. This is the second consecutive year when something like this is happening, last year too many Liverpool fans failed to catch a train to return back and this year also most of the fans are concerned over their one day extra stay at Wembley. It is even difficult for Wigan fans coz they can’t catch the last train even … [Read more...]
ManU, seven points away from EPL title
There is no doubt with the fact that Manchester United has performed brilliantly this season and that is why they have been on the top of the leaderboard most of the time this season. Now, when EPL is reaching its conclusion, ManU is still enjoying its supremacy over other teams with a comfortable lead from its closest club and arch rival Manchester City who is almost 15 points away to replace United on the top. Yesterday, United won another match to enhance its lead when they defeated Stroke with 2-0, and more importantly, it was Robin van Persie who ended his drought by finding the net at last. Actually, Netherlands striker could not score even a single goal in his last ten matches, but Sunday was his day and he perfectly capitalized his 66th minute penalty and fired a goal. – his 20th in the league. Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez to serve community for 250 hours
If there is one thing that football stars are more popular for apart from football, it would certainly be their driving bans. There have been many cases in the past when many famous footballers slapped with a ban or imprisonment for their overdriving or unlawful driving habits and Manchester City’s striker Carlos Tevez is the next in the list. He was caught driving his white Porsche away from Mottram Hall Hotel and Golf Club despite his driving ban. Nasri’s inconsistency forces Mancini to dream a punch on him
French international footballer Samir Nasri could be an indispensable part of Manchester City, but, off late, his performance on the ground has ever been unpredictable. On one occasion he presented himself as a best player in the world while most of the other times, he proved to be just a normal player. City spent more than £24million in 2011 to buy this high profile player from Arsenal, and, indeed, he proved his worth in the first season, but after that his strike rate started diminishing. His lack of afford is more critical than his ability to score, this is what Manchester City’s boss Roberto Mancini thinks about the Frenchman. In most of the previous matches, except Saturday’s tie with Newcastle United, his gameplay has rather been a cold show from a superstar and this is something that is making his boss angry. City manager even said recently that he wishes to punch him looking at his flip flop show in last few matches. Actually, he is right in his judgment, coz many City players … [Read more...]

Thanks to the City’s loss at Everton and United win over Reading that placed them on a relaxed position. At the moment, United has a clear advantage of fifteen points from its chaser: City, so only a comprehensive debacle can stop them being the next EPL title holder this year. United’s nail biting finish over Reading gave them a much needed momentum where they finally managed to win just by 1-0 thanks to Wayne Rooney who earned a lead in the 21st minute and rest is done by United defense by not allowing Reading even to equalize the lead. These are crucial days of the league; hence every victory worth more than we could think, and that is why Rooney said after the match, “We knew the three points was the most important thing today — especially after City dropped three points.” Likewise, Manchester City conceived a 2-0 defeat at … [Read more...]
