Untied last played match against Real Madrid was the benchmark for him where he actively participated and achieved this magic figure. 39-year old Ryan Giggs extends his Old Trafford stay until June 2014
Normally, a thirty plus player is pronounced as ‘former’ player but Ryan Giggs is not among those kinds of players coz he is the one who has just signed another deal with his long playing club Manchester United at an age of 39 years. According to his new deal, he will be with them for one more year, i.e., until June 2014. Notably, coming season would be his 23rd season playing for the Ferguson club; he started playing for them back in 1991 and has made a record 931 league appearances with United’s A-team. He also scored 168 goals during his long running tenure. Manchester United beat Reading to reach into FA Cup quarterfinal
2 - 1 Manchester United secured its place in the FA cup’s quarterfinal by beating Reading in the pre-quarterfinal with a comprehensive margin. They beat Reading easily by 2-1 at Old Trafford on Monday. United, indeed, remained on the driver seat throughout the game, but it was Nani and Javier Hernandez who changed the result in its favor by scoring two quick goals. Reading is among the few clubs who are known for their rock solid defense and that is why Alex Ferguson men had to struggle to cross their net despite having in control throughout the match. There 2-1 victory over Reading took them to the quarterfinal where they will clash with the winner of Chelsea and Middlesbroug. It has always been an alluring display of soccer when two legendry soccer teams are in front of each other. The much hyped Champions League match between Manchester United and Real Madrid United was ended in a 1-1- draw, and it was completely biased towards Real’s Ronaldo who shifted to Santiago Bernabeu from United back in 2009 at a hefty price tag. It was the first time he was facing his old teammates in a match, and he perfectly made them feel sorry to leave such a power player. Maybe EPL is the best and reputed soccer league in the world, but there are many other leagues where these English clubs are long trying to make an impact. European Champion league is one such league which has ever been on the target of top EPL clubs.
