Wayne Rooney will miss next WC qualifiers for a knee injury

It always pinches to the core when a national side playing a crucial world cup qualifier misses its key players for injury and this is something that seems to be happening with England national team which is about to miss the services of Wayne Rooney. Yes, this is a surprising news but true that Manchester United player will not be available for the England's friendly against Spain on Tuesday after missing Three Lions training on Monday morning with a ‘minor’ issue. Rooney is the only one to miss the upcoming national games for injury reason since another player Ryan Bertrand also sustained the minor injury but he will remain with the national side and possibly play in the upcoming qualifiers. Although, no substitute has until been named for the side but as far his captaincy is concerned, 26-year-old Jordan Henderson will again wear the captain's armband in place of Rooney. If Rooney current injury comes out to be serious, it would be a double blow not only for the Three Lions but as … [Read more...]

Mourinho nulls Wayne Rooney transfer rumors

It has now become a custom to link any star player with other sides if he has missed few of the important games and it holds specifically true with English clubs where fans want their players to play each game and deliver too. This is something that seems to be happening with Manchester United and its captain Wayne Rooney who was not seen in last two games and absence of any player of his caliber is easily taken as the result of growing dissent between player and the management hence it is assumed he would have been looking for an alternate and as far Rooney is concerned, few media houses recently hinted he could have been looking for other options if Portuguese keeps an ignorance on him. However, club top management has denied of anything like this happened to the Three Lions skipper and they explained Rooney did not play in last few games for his calf complaint. Knowingly, 31-year-old, in this season, has started in five of the seven games for club and country as a substitute … [Read more...]

ManU’s surprising EFL win over Man City, Mourinho dedicates it to the fans

Nothing can relieved you more than winning against your arch rivals and that too if you rival has been in a good form and you were not. This is something that seems to be happening with Manchester United and its boss Jose Mourinho who made a striking comeback in the season by crushing Manchester City by 1-0 at home. It was rather a nail biting finish but since it yielded result for a highly demotivated side like ManU, it is a crushing victory. It has been just few days passed by when this stars studded side failed to overcome Chelsea and lost the game by a big 4-0 margin and now when they defeated Manchester City and cleared the road to play in the Football League Cup quarterfinal, it is like dream comes true and this is what manager believes and Juan Mata is his hero who netted the only goal of the game and sealed a home quarterfinal against West Ham United. While it is obviously a much needed win for the Red Devils, Mourinho says players fought for their fans and answered their … [Read more...]

Strict advisory issued to fans ahead of ManU vs Liverpool Tuesday clash

October 15, 2016 by 888Scoreonline

Every time we have a big clash in English premier league, organizers along with top brass of both the sides involve start getting worried about the possible behavior of the fans inside the stadium and if they would show any disrespect to the visitors if they are winning. Over the years, the behavior of the fans has been a great cause of concern especially if hosts are losing and to take this issue with more seriousness than ever, both Liverpool and Manchester United, who are going to have an Anfield clash this Tuesday, have issued a joint statement warning the meddlers in a harsher tone that if anyone of them found indulged in any kind of discrimination, he would be ejected off the stadium immediately. The precautionary measures are being taken after their last meeting during a two-leg Europa Cup clash last season when both clubs were fined €40,000 by UEFA, half of them suspended for a probationary period of two years after severe crowd disturbances including ‘illicit chanting,’ and … [Read more...]

Mourinho accepts United’s unimpressive show in two back to back defeats

This season seems to have not been going well for the Manchester United that is why after two back to back defeats newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho is not ready to accept they are anywhere behind their goals. This is true that their home loss to Man City almost led their morale down and then Europa Cup group 1-0 loss to Feyenoord made it sure not everything is not right inside United dressing room and Portuguese boss is trying hard to find and correct the problem before it gets too late. If we look at the last Europa game, United could not impress anyone - neither with its attack nor with its defense - and it was Tonny Vilhena's late strike that gave his side a decisive lead. Although, United army kept firing on the targets but they missed as many as eight clear chances which shows state of their confidence and how deteriorated it has been in last few days especially after losing to their arch rivals. Talking about the debacle show in last few games and if it would have any … [Read more...]
