There have been many cases in almost every sport when we saw a retired player or coach or even a manager came back after looking a desperate need for him. But, this is not always correct for a legendary soccer manager to come back in a hurry without offering much time to new manager to answer his critics. This is something that is being happened with League title defender Manchester United where newly appointed manager looks unable to revive his team’s debacle start this year. Perhaps, his failures started right from the moment he placed bids for players during the last transfer window, but unfortunately for him, he could not be successful on most of the occasions, which was then linked with his incompetence to negotiate. Now, he is saying they lack world class players while other soccer pundits say United needs a desperate mix of both new and legendry players. Under these circumstances, only one name came into the mind of everyone, i.e., Sir Alex Ferguson and media started flashing … [Read more...]
Football pundit says Manchester United could be the next Liverpool
Football fraternity is like a whole world in itself filled with experts, pundits, and all kinds of game professionals who take themselves as the true interpreter of every little happening over here. If we compare current Premier league with that of previous one, there is one significant difference, i.e., performance of defending champions; perhaps it is the worst campaign for United in last 24 years, and it is highly unlikely they can defend their title this time. Things were not so under former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, but it is getting very difficult to manage things for the newly appointed boss David Moyes. There is nothing which is happening all of a sudden coz many pundits have hinted something like this when Moyes was failing on each of his aspirants in the last transfer window. In fact, he could only sign one player Marouane Fellaini successfully while missed on at least four players. Football pundits are comparing current Manchester United team with that of Liverpool of 1990 … [Read more...]

Manchester United and Manchester City are two top contenders of coming EPL season but there is one more area where they always seem to be fighting with each other, i.e., summer buying. This summer, United could not be successful in taking some of its interested players; in fact, they could only fetch Uruguayan youngster Guillermo Varela this summer while missing notables like, Cesc Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara. On the other side, City has outspent them by far by adding Fernandinho, Jesus Navas, Alvaro Negredo, and Stevan Jovetic to their army, and if we look at the top spending this summer, City is very close to complete its 100 million mark while Chelsea is closely following it. Chelsea’s former Everton manager Jose Mourinho has always been known for taking … [Read more...]

Everyone knows that Wayne Rooney, the eye candy and dissenting player for United off late, has been on the radar of many league clubs including Chelsea, but few will believe that he is an equally pricey asset for England national team as well though Roy Hodgson understands his importance for United and that is why he has ensured League Champions he will not let his fitness on stake in a national friendlier. Actually, England has to clash with their oldest enemy here in Wembley to mark English FA’s 150th year. Apart from its historical importance, this match is also a checking point for English manager coz he wants to make sure his players are fit and in their best form ahead of their remaining world cup qualifiers matches.
