QPR sign Marseille’s Loïc Rémy at £8m thrashing Newcastle’s ambitions

It’s a world of cold wars in soccer fraternity where every big club seems to be snatching what other clubs remain dreaming of. This is exactly what is being done by Queens Park Rangers to Newcastle who was long eyeing on Marseille’s Loïc Rémy, but at the end of the day, striker signed his contract deal with the Hoops at £8m price tag. Striker is further required to undergo a medical test in England before he could set his journey to Loftus Road. There is one more player under Harry Redknapp’s watchful eyes, i.e., he can also target Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila in similar fashion. French international has played for his national team seventeen times, but despite his reasonable performances in the ground; he was little used this season. Mark Hughes Sacked after Humblest EPL Performance

November 24, 2012 by 888Scoreonline

Another coach faced the anger of his boss after worst performance in EPL. Now, QPR took this bold step and fired its manager Mark Hughes when he could not prove his gaming excellence on the field. No matter if he was just ten months old. This EPL season has been the worst for QPR, coz it could only find itself on bottom place after playing twelve matches, and according to QPR owner Tony Fernandes, Hughes could not prove what he was hired for. Though, openly, Fernandes never stated his lacking confidence over his manager, but his strategic mind could have found him guilty of QPR’s wrong doings. According to insiders, Harry Redknapp has now been roped in as his replacement with immediate effect though he will take official charge on Sunday only. Mark Hughes took over the top QPR position from Neil Warnock back in January 2012; his initial few matches were not so fruitful, but he then promised a better performance in the rest of the season. But, despite pouring tons of money in hiring top … [Read more...]

Ferdinand refused to wear anti-racism T-shirt

Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand, who had been a victim of racial abuses by English Captain John Terry last year, has now refused to join the Kick It Out campaign by not wearing T-shirt along with two of his QPR team-mates. His racial abuse case against Terry concluded just in last week and where he has been imposed with a £220,000 fine and a four matches’ suspension. His decision to boycott wearing the t shirts came within 24 hours of Rio Ferdinand’s, his brother, decision to boycott the support of Kick It Out anti racial campaign here at Loftus Road. During Kick It Out campaign, all premier league players are asked to wear a t-shirt bearing an anti-racial massage: “one game, one community” during each of their pre-game training session to withdraw the attention towards the biggest evil of soccer. Moreover, according to Rio and his brother, Ferdinand’s racial abuser Terry should have been punished little more harshly rather imposing a moderate fine, and that’s why they are … [Read more...]
