Manchester United vs. Real Madrid Champions League clash sets record for Fox

March 10, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

VS. Soccer is the game of numbers where each team tries to win by scoring more goals than its opponent; this is what matters for teams playing on the ground, for outsiders, especially electronic broadcasters, there is something else that matters the most and that is how many viewers watch the live telecast which eventually is converted into mounting revenues for these broadcasters. Actually, television broadcasting is the most important factor in deciding whether a match was popular or not and that is why we see mounting TRPs of many big league games; perhaps more than a popular international tie up between to arch rivals. Last week’s Champions leagues clash between Manchester United and Real Madrid created a buzz across millions of their fans, and finally when DDay arrived, it was like a festive season for all: teams, fans, and especially official TV broadcaster Fox who live telecasted the match. A recent Nielsen Media Research shows that last Championship League match between the … [Read more...]

Messi could not save Barcelona losing second straight loss to Madrid

March 4, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Spanish league La Liga is getting more interesting as it is reaching to its end, perhaps, in reality, there is no one to stop Barcelona winning La Liga title this season, but its arch rival Real Madrid did a splendid job to beat Barca two times in five days in two different leagues. Though, Madrid is still on the third position, but its margin is narrowed significantly from both Barca as well as second place holder Atletico. Its latest 2-1 victory over Barca proved what Tito Vilanova’s team is missing. On the other hand, this victory will surely boost the confidence level of Jose Mourinho’s men, especially ahead of their Champions league clash with Manchester United. Messi put some resistance to save his team but nothing could work in his favor, though he scored one goal. It is also a wake up call for Barcelona coz it has lost last few matches on a surprising note, like two consecutive victories to Madrid and a 2-0 loss to AC Milan in the Champions League. Actually, absence of its head … [Read more...]

It’s a tie for mega showdown between Manchester United and Real Madrid

February 15, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

It has always been an alluring display of soccer when two legendry soccer teams are in front of each other. The much hyped Champions League match between Manchester United and Real Madrid United was ended in a 1-1- draw, and it was completely biased towards Real’s Ronaldo who shifted to Santiago Bernabeu from United back in 2009 at a hefty price tag. It was the first time he was facing his old teammates in a match, and he perfectly made them feel sorry to leave such a power player. Though, the match was ended in a draw, there was something more than just one goal from each side. The clash between two legendry clubs has long been awaiting, and finally, Dday came, and it showed why the world was waiting to see two of the finest soccer clubs facing each other. Casillas axed for up to 12 weeks for his hand fracture

La Liga club Real Madrid would surely be dreaming to defeat its arch rival Barcelona in coming weeks, but it would have never imagined that it would have to do the task without its ace goalie. Madrid first goalkeeper and captain Casillas got his left hand fractured when he collided with teammate Alvaro Arbeloa accidentally in his attempt to recuse the ball during Wednesday’s 1-1 tie with Valencia in the Spanish Cup. After a successful operation yesterday, the captain is back home resting. Everything went superbly well. Now it is all a question of waiting while he recuperates.” At the … [Read more...]
