In less than twenty four hours, United’s manager Ferguson is again found combating with a known soccer personality. This time the heat is fueled by City boss Roberto Mancini who recently said that other teams are not able to defeat United not because they are better, but since other teams play with a fear of facing United’s army in the field. His comments are again rubbished by Ferguson saying it is a bit of self-sympathy by City manager; perhaps he called it a nonsense reaction for not being on the top. He also gave an example of 1996 when no team could try as hard as United did to beat then title rivals Newcastle. Though, he also agrees on the fact that some matches he saw were not as trying by the opponents as they should be, so he calls it lack of a will rather a fear of facing United. Nasri’s inconsistency forces Mancini to dream a punch on him
French international footballer Samir Nasri could be an indispensable part of Manchester City, but, off late, his performance on the ground has ever been unpredictable. On one occasion he presented himself as a best player in the world while most of the other times, he proved to be just a normal player. Mancini laughs at his City leaving reports
Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has clearly denied reports that say he could join Russian club Zenit St Petersburg if his contract at Etihad Stadium expires prematurely. He signed a five-year contract with EPL club last summer so chances of him leaving the club are very low looking at the recent developments. He jokingly said at a press conference recently that he can’t bear the cold at Russia hence he is not leaving to anywhere! Actually, big spending Russian club has not seen so much improvement in its position either in Russian league, where it lasted on the third spot, or in European League, where it has been knocked out by Basel on Thursday despite spending multi millions on Hulk and Axel Witsel last summer; hence they have approached Mancini to replace its current coach and Mancini fellow Italian Luciano Spalletti. Mancini assures a title win in next three or four years
Soccer world is badly known as the worst place to survive in if you are not performing well. There have been many cases in the past where many clubs sacked their managers overnight after they did not perform as expected. Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini could be one such manager who is facing the heat of being the next on firing line coz of City’s humiliating exist from Champions League. Now, Mancini is advocating the stability within a team and saying City bosses should give him more time to become stable rather sacking, which would a big mistake considering current City lineup. Manchester City Agree on Nasri’s Sending Off
Manchester City was in the news last weekend for its brilliant performance despite having ten players’ army on the field. City’s striker Nasri was actually shown a red card after his headbutt to Sebastien Bassong, which was considered a violent way to react to an opponent’s challenge. Nasri was sent off during the first half of City’s clash with Norwich last weekend, and despite silently accepting the penalty, City said after the match that they will appeal against three matches’ ban of their French international, but after having a second thought over the issue, City has now decided to forgo the matter altogether, which means, they will not have Nasri in their squad for next three matches.
