Roy Hodgson exhausts his anger now over ‘dishonest’ critics for England’s Euro 2016 exit

Legendary mentors don’t forget the dishonesty by key critics for some reasons they had to face during a big soccer event. Yes, we are taking about England and its former boss Roy Hodgson who has now openly hit out at "dishonest" criticism of his management at Euro 2016 performance last summer that was possibly in his knowledge right from the day. England got out of the tournament shocking 2-1 loss to minnows Iceland at the round-of-16 stage in France that closed all the doors for his side and he took the responsibility and left the job. Talking about the issue in great length, he said in his recent interview, “I was totally uninterested in those type of comments, which I regard as purely irrelevant and dishonest. No one whose opinion I respect would have said anything like that, otherwise I would have heard about it. “I certainly didn't feel suicidal and I certainly didn't feel self-doubt either because I think probably the four years, especially the last two years after the … [Read more...]

Rooney backs Hodgson’s rotation decision

Every time a side fails to deliver in a high profile game, all fingers are pointed over the players but when it is the manager who took some brave decisions during the game and placed key players on the unorthodox positions, then it is the manager who faces all the aggression from everyone and this is something that seems to be happening with English national soccer team who could not overcome Slovakia in final Group B clash. The game eventually ended in a goal less draw and all fingers are being raised over the manager Roy Hodgson who made several changes in the well-known field spread including resting Wayne Rooney in the midfield. Actually, the chance to enter into the second stage have now diminished for Three Lions after they could only secure a second position after Wales hence they will have to play with Iceland in Nice on Monday while if they could defeat Slovakia, they would have been facing Northern Ireland in Paris on Saturday. Anyways, while almost everyone is after the … [Read more...]

October 19, 2013 by 888Scoreonline

Racism has many shapes and faces which is again proved by a joke cracked by England coach Roy Hodgson in a halftime talk show during a recent world cup qualifier. Though, he apologized after that, but anti racial campaigners look in no mood to let him go so easily; perhaps they are accusing him of using the selected words at a right time to gain the maximum impact. The incident put a small dent on English qualification for the Brazil world cup, but anyways, Englishmen finally started being in the news by their conducts outside the field. Actually, Tuesday was the DDay for England when they defeated Poland to finally enter into the 2014 FIFA world cup. Hodgson tried to interpret his statement by calling it just an attempt to criticize players’ pass the … [Read more...]
